I just wanted to post this as we have decided to make a new Inappropriate Content Violation. Given the recent AdSense violations the site has received, and that lucid is in the process of appealing this violation as well as possibly looking into alternative sources of ad revenue, we need to clean up the site as a whole and strictly enforce their guidelines.
This rule has been rolled out to serve an immediate need as we make through this transition. Mods have been instructed to be lenient in the coming days and weeks as this new rule gains awareness and as the paradigm shift begins. That being said, any community and moderator input on the language of this rule would be greatly appreciated.
We'll be giving out mostly verbal warnings, notes for now (especially to those who are unaware, of course), but moving forward we will start enforcing the violations more strictly.
I'd like to give shout outs to gistofeverything for the language of the ruling, and Giga for drafting up the disciplinary scheme.

I'll support this for now. But I think the moderators, on behalf of epicmafia users, should make a clear line between what is excessive and what isn't. I completely understand the porn and links. But the swearing ban is a little excessive. Epicmafia already has violations in place to be given to users who swear too much,(don't believe me? Check my profile) and moderators are allowed to ban people from commenting in the comments. The comment section while very crude at times is very interesting because it allows unlimited free speech. That has negative side affects, yes, but should cuss words and the whole slander thing will just make the comment section boring. This is a good temporary solution to our issue as we transition, but I think if and when we do find an alternative or the appeal goes through, these rules should be lightened a little.
Well, if the alternative is the site getting shut down, then this is perfectly fine, but isn't it possible to just program in some kind of censoring mechanism for curses? I know programing something like that for porn would be basically impossible, but blocking cursing seems like something that would be pretty easy.
K I'll just do all my normal cussing irl, not like I haven't since I was the age of 5 anyways, I mean like seriously, I honestly have never understood why people find basic words so bad, some words are horrible. but your normal everyday cuss words aren't even bad, its everyday talk and people like google.. (Idk when did they become super strict wannabe annoying as hell parents) don't want it to happen, Just let people speak for themselves in the way that they want to speak and express themselves, but people like google have to be against it, I honestly really hate that
I really don't see how it's difficult to just keep your language under control on-site. It's not a lot to complain about, or expect to change after a while. Users shouldn't have to use excessive swearing in the first place, and ones who do should have been penalized even before this, IMO.
I designed this to be flexible given circumstances at hand. This rule can apply to many different types of situations and can adapt to less strict guidelines if we get them. This was made with you all in mind given how free we all like to speak.

Make this forums/comments only, since games aren't reviewed by Google, and for the love of God be incredibly light on moderating swearing, because the TOS says EXCESSIVE profanity.
Yeah trust me, this isn't something that is fun for any of us, but is a necessity.
Cezarus, as far as what changes will come, only time will tell. For now, we just need to behave ourselves and hope that the appeal goes through. We'll take this one step at a time.
And thank you gist, really appreciate the help with the language in the rule.
i'm assuming it'll depend on what the other ad service's terms of service states. the mods and lucid shouldn't actively be trying to restrict us, but in this case they kind of need to.
But what will happen if the appeal didn't go through, and Lucid had to resort to another ad provider with a less strict rule on vulgarity? Will this still be enforced then?
Just making sure, this is a temporary rule, right? Once everything's over (hopefully) and the site's back to normal this won't be enforced anymore, yes?
EM lost its ad revenue because of it, if we ever want it back we need to behave within Google's guidelines.
