Spamming in sandbox games

Is spamming in sandbox games against the rules? I was given a vio for spamming in a sandbox game which I'm not too fussed about. But what I am fussed about is the inconsistency with which this rule is applied.

What irks me is that, while providing evidence of this rule not being applied elsewhere, my second appeal was sustained without any reasoning given or any mention of the other report.

Report against yoyo for the exact same thing: https://epicmafia.com/report/176513 - No vio given because "The site rule for spamming in game doesn't apply to unranked sandbox games"

There was a previous thread made on the topic by Vilden which was deleted for I don't know what reason [img]

Mods, I want to know once and for all. Is spamming in a sandbox game an offence.

PR and community managing is definitely part of the job description and should be handled as such. Just because they are efficient report handlers doesn't mean they can ignore their responsibility to provide transparency and fair, justified decisions to the whole community with obvious evidence behind each infringement.

I don't know how many more times I need to say it. It's not weakness to admit mistakes were made. It's where your greatest strengths can be shown.

Thank you Slowbro. Thank you for proving and justifying everything that has been said in this thread against mods.

Zero communication skills. Thinking mods are above everyone else and always correct and replying with no regard for anything that's been asked or said and believing that everything is a personal attack on the mods for no reason.

There have been solid, coherent, justified arguments made in this thread which have been consistently and the nonchalant attitude shown by the mods is, frankly, disrespectful.

There needs to be a massive overhaul to how mods deal with everyone here. I understand you want to defend your friend, and that's fair, but as a mod you should set an example of behaviour for everyone to follow.

Thank you again for letting us all know we were justified in criticizing mod behaviour.

yes dude, it's the end times, just like every time last year and the year before that and the year before that where users would outcry that the end of the site was nigh

my only concerns with modding are to make the right calls and be decent. preferably in that order if i can't do both at the same time.

Mods are just bullies. They should be protecting the community from big bad rule breakers instead of being rude to people who don't deserve it.

I don't even know Hibiki (whose name is apparently Connor) outside of this very thread so again, apologies if it came off as personal.

I'm just generally frustrated with that attitude mods very often show in this website and I may have pushed it too far.
