can we do this? gunsmith has been around for years and there has never been an objectively good gun setup, and thats because guns are horrible for competitive. Giving one person the ability to remove another from the game is a terrible idea for competitions and is ridiculously easy to throw games/troll with. Yeah, guns are fun but fun has never been the #1 priority for the competition and variety has never been a factor when deciding to ban the dozens of roles and setups that arent allowed to be made competitive.
Mafia is a game of social skills. By acting in a certain way, you are being a leader and influencing people. The whole gameplay revolves around getting people lynched by discussion. Guns circumvent this, and you have setups where the majority of players have very limited influence, because they didn't get the Sheriff-role. I wouldn't go as far as banning guns, as long as there are alternative setups to play.
i don't even play comp but even from my perspective gs can be played rationally by no gunning until a strong clear is found. gs on clear is a wonderful way to get rid of at least 1 scum on mylo without nling (shoot one of two possible scum, if not scum creates lylo with good lynch on the other, as opposed to 50/50 ml on mylo or nl and then mafia just kills a clear) and break joints
wouldn't blacklisting the unbalanced ones be far more convenient for the community rather than killing a major setup mech
All of the gun setups are maf sided other than yin yang, and shoot pranay

Frankly, Kyle, if the situation gets to the point of old Comp lobby after it's been merged then the playerbase has finally died and it's to move on. Let's not just scream armageddon before it happens.

"
Lashka5m 22s The 5 minute rule is essentially there so that people don't burn all their hearts before other people log on later in the day/night, and are then unable to play any setups. Protecting Fun for those players. "
they can play with people who want to play grueling, longer mafia games. the people who would rather play quick and fun setups shouldn't be forced into playing b2ns regardless.

Britain, which is a lot more diverse than 'Murika because of all the immigration from the Commonwealth.
Well that and the open borders policy with the EU.
Tbh the EU immigrants don't make this place all that diverse. I mean, London is the 6th largest French city by population, but London always had large ex-pat populations even before Schengen. And it's mostly just the Poles who've come over in big enough numbers to become a very large minority. The rest of them just get bracketted under 'Eastern Europeans' and all have the same religion.
It's not like the large Sikh populations, the large Pakistani Muslim, Indian, Hong Kong Chinese, and Caribbean communities along with the hugely varied African cultures we have over here.

" One person running on the second most played setup because they don't like the most played setup in fact proves that you don't need to play gun setups if you don't like them."
i changed my mind. the problem isnt that you arent capable of it right now, its addressing something that may become an issue before its too late to do anything about it. ie fancy pants is a horrible setup that often results in autowin situations for town just based on the n1 actions, a ban on it probably could have been done had it been caught before it picked up popularity but right now its out of the question. in late competitive lobby running on something outside of a&d when it was comped was a ridiculous idea, are we gonna wait until it gets that bad to do something about it?

Saudi Arabia doesn't give out Tourist visas. I was tempted to do a Middle East tour last year when I was in Egypt last year but it was all far too much paperwork and I couldn't be bothered with converting to Islam just to see Mecca & Medina.
