So with this role you have to choose between the risk of watcher/doc/interceptor etc. at night or revealing yourself as the shooter during the day, the mechanics are limited but versatile enough for you to actually formulate your method of winning

if you actually read the role before going LOLCANTUNDERSTAND you'd see "must shoot once every day or night," meaning he has just as much of a chance of being caught like killer if not more because day shots have 50/50 reveal chance.

and how is it so complex? he either shoots during the day or night, and wins if he shoots the last scum whether it be maf or cult or killer or whatever.

like phibes said, hes like a townsided MM. village wants him dead as much as mafia wants mastermind dead before the game ends. and cowboy isnt even guaranteed the win at the end, unlike MM. if you want complicated and/or OP, look at the current popular roles.

Overly complicated and far too powerful. Giving him the option to keep his kill as a gun means he isnt actually forced to put himself out there like the Killer is so he could just go under the radar until the end where he shoots last mafia and steals the win. Sounds annoying. Killer is just fine as far as 3rd party killing roles go, this is uneeded and does not sound very fun to me.

Killing the last Mafia is a good idea. Make the cowboy a 3rd party role, that can joint with town (For extremely small points) but if the cowboy shoots and end the game he wins.

That mean if he kills any threat Mafia, Killer, Alien, Cult, or Werewolf and that ends the game he wins. It would make cops not want to reveal the last guilty while the cowboy is alive or may force the town to lynch the cowboy if he reveals himself giving the mafia a increased chance.

v is this a good idea [y/n] it makes it so that you dont have to play it like a killer when maf is gone (i.e. wiping out town to finally win) and the win scenario is like lyncher/fool (if you dont reach your goal you dont really win or lose; an attribute for a cowboy would be at least surviving, would it not) and village still doesnt want him around because he doesnt care who he shoots and he could steal the game win
