For me, while it may not have been entirely viable considering that the town had a chance to lynch my butt anyways, it was necessary to me in order to look more convincing. I've been in that scenario many times where, as the fakeclaimer, I am often looked at as the scummier one and thus I am often the D1 lynched, leaving my mafia partners in the shitter. By bussing my partner, it made the following possible. 1. Killing the cop without having to circumvent the doc (The mafia got a huge boost by killing you and almost lost it due to the orc kill, I'll admit) 2. That if I were lynched, it could possibly make my partner look more plausible as town and 3. More nights and opportunities for me to kill the big power players. In that scenario, town often goes for the D1 lynch between cops and I thought, by giving them a guilty with a mislynch on hand, that they would bite, considering the lack of risk.
