The hardest thing about this game is called "cross". As a town, you want to avoid it. You want to solve the mystery before it comes to that. The typical cross involves one cleared player choosing between two suspects with no conclusive evidence. If he chooses wrong, mafia wins.
Worse than that is the three way cross. Where the consequences are the same, but there is no clear. In this case, the three of them have to decide who makes the decision, with no reliable means to do so. And then that person has the cross decision to make (or if they're maf, they'll just pick someone and win).
