Version II: (long live jfk, death to dethy edition)
Simple forum game I am testing for 8 people!
The players are secretly divided between 4 anonymous detectives and 4 criminals. All criminals know identity of the The Mole (who wins as a criminal, but appears as a detective), and all detectives know the identity of The Informant (who wins as a detective, but appears to be a criminal), but nothing else.
A suitcase containing millions of dollars starts the game lying on the ground. 24 hours after the game beings, someone can say they want to grab the suitcase.
When someone has the suitcase, their alignment will be revealed, and they will have 24 hours to pass it to another player whose role is still unknown. When that player recieves the suitcase, their alignment is revealed and they must pass it to someone in 24 hours... etc.
All normal detectives will be revealed as detectives, and normal criminals will be revealed as criminals. However, since The Informant and The Mole are sneaks, the Informant will be revealed as a criminal even though he is sided with the detectives, and The Mole will be revealed as a detective even though he is sided with the criminals.
The detectives win if 3 detectives and the Mole are revealed and the criminals fail to guess the Informant. The criminals win if 3 criminals and the Informant is revealed and the detectives fail to guess the Mole.
The winning team absconds with the suitcase with all the cash inside.
either emile is pulling some 8D chess shit or he's legit. I'm not gonna lie it DID pass my mind that he would be informant, but obviously he is not cuz he passed the suit case to the mole.
So. between the two I do not have a strong hunch.But if I had to choose I would say okiedokes, but once again, my hunch is not strong.
Hatrium, Villager, Okiedokes, and Lelmoo each must DM me a vote for who is the informant. If there is a tie, the player who is The Mole will choose between the players in that tie.
Hatrium passes to Chanman, who is revealed to be a detective! The detectives have won the game... unless the criminals can figure out who the informant is.
I don't trust the detectives to guess incorrectly as to who the mole is, therefore I'd rather give us the chance to guess instead. It's been on my mind ever since matt was somewhat confident all 3 detectives weren't moles, along with chanman being suspected.
It's too bad that I've had few lines from my fellow criminals, so my read is mostly based on what the detectives have been doing. First, I don't think Elmo is the informant because of his very first line that could be a hint he knows chanman is the mole. Matt has also been giving deliberate clues that would suggest he knows elmo is the informant - I believe these clues were meant for the criminals to find though, and not the detectives.
It leaves me with vegetable 1 and vegetable 2. If I had to pinpoint a read from the detectives that felt faker than the rest, I would say it's the reads on okie/ally. These reads were happening during the timeframe where qrstuv was holding the case.
Finally, okie blatantly guessed that chanman is the mole which I think he would never do as a criminal. If his intent was to prove he was a criminal, he would tell me to pass it to chan at the same time.
That's my thoughts everyone! Now I'll pass the case to the mole and let's see how this game ends.
