I have yet to year "the ch word" or "the n word" or any of the variety of insults as an actual racial slur used to demean a certain race but I consistently see (unfunny, but not the point)'jokes' on-
east Asians (HERRO SO FUNNY CANT DRIVE XD), Indians (HEHEE BOBS AND VEGANA UR KIND LIVES IN A CALL CENTRE CREEP LOL) and so many more lol

I appreciate yours and lucids goals to stopping racism and xenophobia around the site, in regards to someone being warned twice will get banned for saying slurs, totally great.

But when it comes to HC someone gets 3 slap on the wrists until they're banned for an extended period of time versus only 1, and I've seen a lot of derogatory things being said on Epic Mafia while spending my time in sandbox that extends beyond slurs and this should have zero tolerance as well.

Why is this separate from HC? Why can't we make HC more harsh? At the current system, you will be punishing someone worse for saying a racial slur then you would of someone spouting other slurs, and it'd be more harsh than someone saying a derogatory thing about someone's race/sexuality etc

I was talking about in-game, a place with no filters. Images also bypass filters, so you could always report that?

Prepare to have double banned users (and double bypassers).

Still, I like the idea and the rule. I'd just rewrite it like this:

As pointed out there's already a rule on hateful comments and it makes it pretty clear that derogatory remarks are not welcome.

Since lucid is around how about you pitch to him some censors/filters in-game and be more harsh on people bypassing filters since it's obvious they know it's against the rules?

this should go for all slurs and hate speech. no tolerance for any of them. this includes comments about race, sexual orientation, gender, disability, religion, etc.

As JonSnow said, Lucid wanted a seperate ruling on racist speak, so they obliged. Also do not forget that there's been a lot of recent outcry about a variety of race-related speech on this site. So it does seem to make more sense to make a seperate rule regarding slurs in order to punish racism harder.

But I do agree that the slur rule should extend to other protected classes, such as sexual orientation and gender.

I guess my opinion on this rule change is that it is unnecessary.

There's never been anything truly wrong with the way Hateful Comments is described, but rather the way it has been enforced. The debates almost always are entirely based around how to enforce the rule.

Having an extra rule highlighting the consequences of using racial slurs does not make any sense considering it is already forbidden in HC.

We can still mute them.

There are times when racism was used under influence, strong anger and etc.

They should be stopped from speaking for few days to calm them down.

if they continue, a ban from the forums should be in action.

Banning them fron the site just makes us lose players.

it is bad but some players do not mean it and some players like you use it to show a point.

You should be reported and banned by your own comment because of what you said just to prove a point.
