I fail to see why ethnicity is more important/intrinsic to identity than any of sexuality/gender/religion/etc.. I also think Warning -> Site ban is harsh, and that chat/forum suspension should be an intermediary step.

But mostly I just don't understand why it requires its own rule.

Also keyword >Malicious<. If I jovially call a friend n____, that wouldn't word for word fall under Racial Slurs. But it might fall under HC?

According to the site announcements they're going to edit the hc rule and split it off into this.

Of course there's the question of what constitutes a slur (outside of the obvious ones). And if context takes any precedence before the rule as well.

Edit: Actually I think this rule is exclusive to slurs, so if you're being racist but not using slurs it will still be modded under HC.
