just change it back to lgbt, it is way too long now. It is supposed to be short, because it is an acronym. now it is LGBTQAJFALEKJFGMJNSAKJGEKLJVKL'SDFJGKLSJDFKLGJSDAFK.GVJDFLKGJSDKLFJGKA'LSFJGK;LSAFL;SERKEJKG
please explain how in the hell a fetish can be nonsexual and why does an A have to be added to lgbt? you don't need to be ~Queer~ or whatever to focus on your issues
It doesn't make them identify with anything. In fact, trans people have nothing to do with sexual attraction, and they're LGBT. Romantic attraction may still exist for an asexual person. What sucks though is the groups witchhunting them for considering themselves LGBT.

why would you make asexual people identify with a community that exists solely beecause of sexual attraction matters
Actually, no, by definition it wouldn't. I'm just not answering personal questions out in the open. Honestly if you asked privately I would've given a serious answer. Instead, here's what you get:
Because asexuality has more than one meaning. In reference to organism reproduction, it's not the same thing. I know you're probably just using the same tired joke, but yes, there are different versions of the word. Asexual people don't desire actual sex, but there's various... levels of it. They can actually still have fetishes, in the same way BDSM can be a non-sexual thing (granted, 99% of the time, that's not the case). Which I guess is why I confuse the hell out of people. Asexual trans lesbian in multiple kink communities. Like, I really couldn't be more of a mess at this point.
I like that cowboy got upvoted by his friends for giving an inaccurate explanation of asexuality. But anyway... Vapid, you can't imagine people reacting badly? Because in my experience, my mum was upset and a bit angry because she wants a grandkid. Still doesn't believe I'm asexual years later, but tries to argue against it less. So I wouldn't be so sure...
I can't imagine family and friends being disgusted that someone is asexual. Maybe they'd just get pushy to try and get you to get a gf/bf. That's as far as the oppression goes...
tbh ace discourse is worthless at best and just results in ppl giving themselves "moral" outs for harassing gay/trans ppl.
either way, cishet ace/aro people aren't lgbt in my onion, but they face oppression and it's valid for them to want communities regarding that. it's just unfitting to call them lgbt in that regard imo tbh honestly in my onion.
