Telling people "KYS" - not a ban?

Since when is telling people to kill themselves not an instant ban. I remember when i was a mod, if somebody told someone else to kill themselves and it wasn't a joke (not that it's a good thing to even joke about) it was an instant ban. Pretty sure Lucid made that clear to us when we were mods. Now when i reported somebody for it, they just get a warning? When did this change?

everyone on this topic who's actually joking about suicide are some of the most childish pieces of i ever seen on this site. There are even mods who are joking about it. You guys are pathetic as and it shows how sorry the characters of some individuals we have running this site.

I agree, calling them an idiot is worse because they can't help it, they can prevent suicide though.

I’d actually say , if we are using the “depression blah blah trigger” argument

Calling someone, who is on the edge of suicide an idiot, belittling them and making them feel useless is much more likely to get them to commit than actually telling them to

Context is important. If you're gonna be triggered because someone told you to kys IN A GAME ON THE INTERNET you're clearly oversensitive and shouldn't be on the internet at all. We've all fucced up in games and been insulted for it, you just fuccing take it and move on, it's just a goddamn game. I imagine you'd get triggered if someone calls you an idiot too, then you'd post "Telling people "idiot" -not a ban?"
This whole thing got too much attention than it deserves. It's really dumb.

if someone on here says to kys because of a game that says more about them than anyone else and if someone chooses to kill themselves over a game because someone said kys than that says more about the person who killed themselves
