i know that 17 pages of circlejerking isn't actually gonna get anyone unbanned but i'd be interested in actually seriously talking about the rules at some point with people that can actually do something about it, assuming anyone on this site is actually still trying to improve the system
i feel like report moderation is one of the few things that can actually be tweaked in a positive manner without phil phil-ing all over the place so it's probably a conversation worth having

hateful comments is probably the easiest vio in the universe to avoid and i remember the violent outcry people had when they got HC vios for saying n words
mostly serious post incoming: the 8 vio system is kind of archaic anyway and should probably be replaced by some sort of probation mechanic that both allows trolls to get got faster and protects legitimate players, but i totally understand why the mods would rather just follow a script instead of ruling on a case by case basis because of the flood of trash reports that come in
if we're talking about an idealized version of epic mafia, though, the idea of "leashes" is more arbitrary than actually just fixing the rules to be more discretionary and the history of people that have been given "leashes" on this site is one of the more embarrassing modstaff decisions we've encountered
