2) If, at the end of the game, you are the only player to attempt a certain puzzle, you will be given a credit of three minutes. This will not apply to your score if you went over the time limit during one of your puzzles, however.
3) All of the non-starter puzzles will have ten words in them, and the ‘red letter’ answers will be ten letters long. The word to stop your time will always be ONE WORD.
4) If you incorrectly guess the 10 letter word, the hosts will penalize you 90 seconds, and your time will not freeze.
5) When your time is frozen, you can take your time to start the next puzzle. Go to class! Fall asleep! However, the challenge ends at exactly 11:30PM EDT TOMORROW. Anyone not done the challenge by this time will instantly ‘STOP’, ending the challenge with whatever they have scored by that point.
6) If an answer in the crossword is more than one word, there will not be a space. For example, ‘Sandbox Big Brother’ will be in the puzzle as SANDBOXBIGBROTHER.
7) You can NOT talk to other players about the challenge, your progress in the challenge, or your results. Even a ‘oh, man, I just tried the xxx one and it was TOUGH’ will not be tolerated.

Welcome to your next HoH competition: Cross Examine.
We have created NINE crosswords for you, and your goal, naturally, will be to solve them.
However, you will only have the title, as there are no across/down clues. You will use the title alone to try to complete the puzzle. Some of the letters have been put in place for you already, to help you solve the puzzle.
You will begin with 90 minutes in your bank. When you are ready to begin, please message us in your diary room. If the rules are understood, the host will link you to your first puzzle, and your time will begin. You will notice when solving that there are many RED boxes. When the puzzle is solved, you will take the RED letters and unscramble them to get a word. If you correctly post that word into your diary room, your time will freeze, and you will score a point.
You will then have one of two options: to stop, or continue on.
If you stop, you will end the challenge with the amount of points (solves) you have accumulated up to that point being your final score.
If you continue on, you can increase your score; however, if you are not able to solve your next puzzle before your time runs out, you will lose a point, and end with a time of 0:00.
The winner will be the player who scores the most points. If there is a tie, the player who has the most time remaining in their bank will be declared the winner. If there is still a tie, we will have a sudden death round.

Once it is solved, players can then choose a puzzle from any of these eight categories:
