Lack of terms/vocab words.

deletedabout 7 years

So I usually play w/ vocab words underlined that way whenever any of these words are used it's easier to see/find them, but I've noticed that some of these aren't counted as vocab words despite being used in just about all games. I'm hoping that we could add some of these, mainly the more common ones to the vocab list that way new players can learn them faster.

Post any other vocab words you think should be added, or any corrections. Current definitions are examples, final definitions are up to whoever makes them.

TL;DR - This is just a suggestion list of words to add to the current Vocab list.

NK/No Kill - When Mafia choose to not kill during the night.

Auto - When the game results in town win no matter what happens.

Hammer - To place the final vote to in order to lynch/nl a player.

Clear - When a players alignment is confirmed.

TR/Town Read - When a player believes another play is Town sided based off their actions/behavior.

SR/Scum Read - When a player believes another play is Maf sided based off their actions/behavior.

Towny - When a player's actions/behavior looks Town sided.

Scummy - When a player's actions/behavior looks Maf sided.

Policy -

Lynch - To vote a player causing them to die.

Confirmed - When a player is proven to be a role.

Hardclaim - To claim your role and no other role.

Kick - Choosing to kick when the "Kick players" option is up.

Lurk - Actively watching the game's discussion but not participating in it.

Dumbtell - When a player says or does something dumb to look town.

Fakeclaim - To claim a role that is not yours.

RS/Roleswap - To swap roles w/ another player.

Filler - Saying non-game related lines.

Sheep - To follow another player without thinking.

Blitz - When a player rushes the vote in their favor.

Bus - When a Mafia accuses/fos their partner to look towny.

Massclaim - When everyone claims a role, usually causing Mafia to CC/Fakeclaim.

KL/Kicklynch - To kick and lynch a player in order to avoid ranked games from going unranked/veggers.

Noavi - A player who uses the default Profile Pic.

Agreed on the thread part, but your actions are either town, maf, or neutral. That's where I'm going w/ this.

You're either Towny, Scummy, or Null.

This example is horrible and doesn't reflect reality. I'd break this down further but this isn't the thread for it.

The definition I have up for scummy seems accurate. You're either Towny, Scummy, or Null.

So I updated the list, thanks to everyone who's help so far. Like I said, it's to make it easier for the newer players to learn these terms, especially since they get used so often. And before anyone says this, yes I understand that these words are used often and just about everyone knows them, but they still have definitions given while in-game.

Those sites actually have communities that revolve around playing the game and not the oversocialization we get from this site.
