But if you can't see where mist is coming from that's honestly funny, almost as much so as you being able to say that in full consciousness, unironically, and feel justified in doing so.

When I say I find this funny I'm not just being passive-aggressive, I actually genuinely had a chuckle over those posts and simultaneously find them funny and annoying.

When girls are emotional you can be in a no-win scenario and you just have to accept that. It's not like she's going to hold this over your head when she's feeling better that "ooh you said the wrong thing, even though there was really no right thing you could've said".

Lono has been here through this entire thread but never figured out from sonseray's posts that his initial assumption about this situation was wrong (it was stated that it was multiple times iirc), and he's still being cocky and assuming all girls are "this particular type of girl that I decided was an archetypical female" and "no means yes 100% of the time because this is a GIRL not a human being"

Girls and guys alike can SOMETIMES be reasoned with, and should sometimes be spoken with honestly, like individual human beings. Gender doesn't nullify that any more than anything else and if you're treating some individual as just your preconceived notion of the demographics they fall into then well you can't possibly be too close, can you?

and I mean clearly you don't necessarily do this and I'm not trying to say you do, or that Lono does in reality, but I feel the need to explain why I don't think "most girls are like this" or "it's just a girl thing, accept it and don't talk to them straightforward if it's a serious issue to you" are decent philosophies to have when it comes to close personal relationships.

Not that I would know anything, really. But I earnestly believe that's something to keep in mind given all the really confident generalizations people were making and some of the advice given here lmao
