if you played with crypto you wouldn't be impressed with shivv at all. they had the exact same play-style and crypto was a lot better

Idk if he's changed for the better but the only reason Shivv used to be good was because everyone would always get awestruck by his greatness and sheep him, he also was extremely dominant.
he basically just said the same thing over and over again but used different words from the thesaurus to make it sound like he was intelligent and had multiple points when really he wasn't all that

oh definitely! shivv can outplay anyone else on that list
when threads like these become the norm rather than actual mafia you know the site's in a bad place
who cares about who the best players are, play your own game and be the best player that you can be and call it a day, no one cares about who the "best internet mafia player" on epicmafia.com was
i beg to differ, look at all the threads and arguments that come from arguing who the best is. it's not only good for the community to discuss good play, but also changes the game because people have perceptions.
none of yall mfers even play maf anymore, yall just forum post about maf and maf rules
Hi guys, I don't think anyone is actually better than everybody else here. There are more than 10 players who have shown brilliance in all aspects of the game and have also been consistent. I think if those players concentrate and play, they will be 100%. For example, I mess up a lot these days because I am distracted. This is about having fun. I think the player having most fun is the real winner. Everybody has fun in their own way. I enjoy experimenting and taking risks. Some people enjoy trolling.

I would define social game more so as being able to actually figure out what needs to be done at any given table and adjusting your play style accordingly. In some games just spamming and acting like a chimp gets people to do what you want, others acting civilized and putting a lot of time and effort into making your ideas seem well thought out and presentable rallies the troops, some games just outright bullying and insulting people gets them to do what you want. Every game is different and it requires some prowess to maneuver each one with poise.
vilden can you explain social skills (in game ofc)
i would define this as a smooth talker or quick thinker. Someone that can get the person they are pleading to to understand them and listen to them.

despite being like "no boo can't possibly be cody" when I was told that

Maxwell not being on the main list is an atrocity.

i literally thought solace and cody were the same person until a few minutes ago

Solace, Tatami, and Cody all have different playstyles but I think individually they all have a glaring flaw
Boo - too passive and non-dynamic Cody - lack of social play and inability to manipulate effectively Tatami - tendency to let his emotions & ego cloud his judgement
social skills do matter even though it shouldn't. imagine you're the clear in 3 way and you're unsure about mafia, you have to hammer between someone insulting you (or someone you dislike) vs someone who is nice (or someone you like). most people would be inclined to hammer the person being rude. most people think like this - 'when in doubt hammer the rude player'
