1- blurr out the names of all other runners. Just show the points and rankings. This way gters won't know who to throw against. This shoukd be visible only to admin so that even mods can't tell anybody.
Option 2- do not display the standings at all until someone reaches 2k points. This way players play without stress and have more fun and play to their win condition.
In both options mods will face some issue tracking cheaters. But if admin can occasionally check the round stats, they can inform their role mod team to investigate the games of the people. They will be able to see all the info except points and rankings.
I am not sure if any of the above option is a good idea. At the face of it I think it is worth giving a shot. I want others to discuss this so I can see all angles of this.
Please share the pros and cons and the loop holes.
For example, people can still see the stats somewhere else, so we need to do something about that too. We should try this once.

Also, when a player breaks a game-related rule, mods may consider suspending them from the round. Even if it's for one violation.

I think the second option is better because if you really want to trophy you can see if you have a chance or not
If a new guy dumbtells, it is different. If a veteran dumbtell it is different. We ought to know if a user is good enough to fake a town slip. So if I hook kill in A&D and you don't know which one is pranay, then you will lose out on an important strategic meta data.
Then wouldn't it be interesting to try without that? read what's in front of you. Pie charts is meta. If you think you can't play a game well cause you don't have a pie chart then idk how you can play.
Having nothing but what is inside the game. the reads you get from what is written in the game and not what you get from external shiz... wouldn't that be the better challange? wouldn't that be the better way to show off your scumhunting/reading/geberal skills?
Please think of other ways people have to find out about the runners. How do we take care of that. What information do we share and what information we dont share.

the only real way to solve all the problems with this idea is to give mods no info that the average user doesnt have about standings, and auto-pause the round when someone hits 2k to review the top 5 runners. this would delay the round process, but it would secure the dream
Guys please suggest improvements and additions to the idea to make it foolproof. I just gave a first draft. We need a complete idea without loopholes.
Also anon setups don't solve the problem. People know who is who. And meta is an integral part of the game.

idk why you think anon doesn't effect gameplay... cause ive seen cocos played with anon deck and it changes a lot of things. even your mindset when you play an anon deck is changed. You can't look at pie charts, you can't see their ranking and it can also be a way to clear your own mind mentally of the you in pregame. Mentally it feels diff.
ill give it some credit but it doesnt solve the fundamental problems of meta-sheeping and gamethrowing. if pranay was in any of my anon games id grudge lynch him in an instant. not showing scores is more effective for that imo. both can be utilized in one round to see if the combo feelsgoodman

Hey rutab, I think that too. But I am wondering if we can do a compromise. If people don't know who to throw against, then cheating might reduce. On the other hand, we are not able to find cheaters anyway. We can make it such that the mods can see that stat about who is playing with whom.
Please suggest a work around. I think if admin can see it then he can ask his team to check. Or if mods are accountable and don't share the info then we can give visibility to them too.
What i thought of also, is have anon decks in comp set ups.
This will stop grudge lynches and meta knowledge aiding the game. Like comparing someone's behaviour between games rather than scumhunting with what you got in front of you.
An anon comp/set ups will make it harder only cause many rely on meta to win. And if its anon decks: you don't know who to throw against cause its anon.
