1- blurr out the names of all other runners. Just show the points and rankings. This way gters won't know who to throw against. This shoukd be visible only to admin so that even mods can't tell anybody.

Option 2- do not display the standings at all until someone reaches 2k points. This way players play without stress and have more fun and play to their win condition.

In both options mods will face some issue tracking cheaters. But if admin can occasionally check the round stats, they can inform their role mod team to investigate the games of the people. They will be able to see all the info except points and rankings.

I am not sure if any of the above option is a good idea. At the face of it I think it is worth giving a shot. I want others to discuss this so I can see all angles of this.

Please share the pros and cons and the loop holes.

For example, people can still see the stats somewhere else, so we need to do something about that too. We should try this once.

he's saying (person) can't throw for or against a runner since he won't know who is in position to trophy, in retrospect at least.


but if the runner (person) throws for is complacent in the throwing and is sharing roles and placement with him then it does nothing.

I don't want to anonymously win a trophy. I want them to know who is beating them.

Edark, can you at least talk to lucid about this. Tell him it is important and that everyone wants it. Tell us his response. If it can't be coded right now, then it can be coded later.

People that are cheating would know each other anyways so I'm not sure how it would help. Unless you removed all friends prior to playing a round, too, it would be easy to deduct the tables runners were at.

Edark we need a reply. Everybody agrees with this. At least initiate it. May be not now, but sometime in the future it may be possible.

Ask admin to find out a way to do something similar to this. Disable the link or something. Just do something.

According to pranay, it does not need coding as the feature is already available. Edark is just too scared to do it
there's no way to blur out the names of runners without extra coding.

Edark please tell us the possibility of this happening. If you try it can be done.
We'd need lucid for it though, that's the problem here. It would involve a lot of extra coding.

(Its an awesome idea though)

It won't matter, cause people will still throw FOR people, or against people. For example if Jailer and I are friends and I've won 8 of my first 10 games, he can just continue to throw for me as often as we are paired against each other. The problem is with the community, not the way we track wins. This site, I've come to learn, is filled with circle jerk groups of people on Skype with each other cheating or throwing. Not to say everyone that trophied cheats, I doubt that very much. But it is what it is.

You know, hiding names in leaderboard is great idea. I mean even in that case ppl will be able to see their positions.

The will only be blurred till the end of the round, so lying would be dumb
