Whilst I don't endorse this, if there was a button that undid the existence of 90% of the world's population (ensuring that everyone I care about were safe and that the progression of science/technology /arts would be that which it is) I'd press it without hesitation.

I think undoing someone's existence means they disappear altogether, not that they drop dead
