Season 5 was an awesome season with our winner Reamix! We had some sad departures leaving the EMI Judges table, shout out to Kam and Luis4rod for their hard work and service. Thank you for all of those who participated, you are all so talented and we would not be able to have this without your amazing voices. No amount of thank you can be said to our judges who worked very hard and were so dedicated to helping and giving their all to our singers to improve each week.

Okay so I also did "See You Again" By Wiz Khalifa ft. Charlie Puth. (Is it pronounced with a long or short "u"?) I did a little ad libbing at the end there because I struggled to reach some higher notes and if I sang any lower I'd bomb the "How could we not..." part. Turns out, it's not entirely a bad thing to have a grandpa who lost the battle to lukemia. Gives me something sad to think about while I sing...
And for my Adele entry, I was originally planning on "Chasing Pavements" but I just couldn't get it right, and I discovered "Turning Tables" is a *much* better fit for my voice. I also tried to make it a little more my own by holding some long notes (especially in the bridge) instead of making them runs like Adele does. Dang, that chorus goes faster than I remember it going! OTL
There it is. All in its early glory. Whether or not I advance, I'm definitely proud of how far I made it this time around, and I like these recordings. I definitely hope the judges vote to put me through to the next round. :)
PS: The timing of my trip would get me home in the evening of Friday the 15th. Is it plausible that results won't go up until sometime after then?
Hamilton is a musical and not formally a band or group. I'm gonna let it slide (for everyone this round if they choose musicals still no for bands/groups) because technically yes, it's a cast but they all as individuals auditioned for their roles.

Welp I'm gonna be out of town from the 10th to the 15th, so I'll be submitting in the very near future. Right now, I'm looking at Turning Tables for my Adele song, and either Price Tag or Dark Horse for my rap submissions because I know like nothing with rap in it. Totally open to suggestions at the point. :P

wew this is stressful i already did my adele song but rap is HARD
I sure hope that the inactivity pattern continues so I only have to do better than one other person. Literally every round so far, one person has been eliminated due to inactivity. Will that streak continue?
Don't make this harder for yourself and stress yourself out. I know you want to blow us judges away but remember you are being judged on the following criteria:
Song Selection (completing of theme and or twist) Improvement week to week Overall vocal ability
sing 1:30 MINIMUM of any Adele song, an artist who has a catalog of 3 albums that spans 3 octaves (amazing lower range that goes into mezzo territory)then sing 1:30 of another song that has a rap portion. as long as the singing is done by another person
we give you a playlist of songs so if you have no idea what to do you can pick from that. Anything extra you do from that for your entry is completely up to you and NOT mandatory (backing tracks, instruments, singing more than the minimum)
and an adele song too when everyone knows that most of her songs are full of high notes xD srsly crying right now coz im having a hard time playing a rap song with my guitar.
then i have to do another adele song after i finish the rap. I feel like its the finals already omg
*shrugs* I'll tell you what I'd do if I were a contestant, and then I'll let you make your own choice. If I were a contestant, I would not censor myself. In fact, on my soundcloud, I have a song where I say the f word multiple times. However it's a personal call on your part and I won't tell you what to do either day. Good luck :)

2. entries must be within the given time limit listed in the rules and regulations. the theme asks for at least the rapping portion of the song be 30 seconds minimum.
how much you do post theme requirements AND rule/regulations is up to you as long as you meet them BOTH
