NHL Playoffs with Poll

Come one, come all to the Stanley cup finals. This year we have the San Jose Sharks, who beat out the defensive Drew Doughty and the LA Kings, the all-star goalie Pekka Rinne and the Nashville Predators, and more recently beat out Vladimir Tarasenko and the ST. Louis Blues.The Pittsburgh Penguins managed to beat out the balanced Mats Zuccarello and the New York Rangers, the explosively offensive Alex Ovetchkin and the Washington Capitals, and the almighty Nikita Kucherov and the Tampa Bay Lightning. Game 1 is Monday at 8pm EST. Let's go Sharks.

Pittsburgh isn't a bad team. They beat the capitals. They have Crosby letang Kessel Malkin and absolute depth and speed. Pittsburgh is a great team who have absolutely dominated in puck possesion, but that's largely due to their depth and speed. Sharks have braun/vlassic/burns/Martin who have been excellent at dealing with the Penguins depth to a degree, but the polak/Dillon pair has been destroying the sharks. It takes an all around defense a great goalie and a lot of speed to beat the Penguins, but I think the sharks can do it especially with couture/donskoi leading the way and pavelski/Thornton Taking the top defenseman off of the above two

I love my sharks. Couture had a fantastic game but honestly even with 3 points on 4 goals I think Jones deserved the first star. 44 saves is insane. Take donskoi off the top line because he's not getting the same chances against puttsburghs top defenseman. Polak is a hazard considering he got away with a few questionable hits. Finally Pavelski scored (empty net goal) but hopefully he can generate more with Thornton AT HOME ICE BABY . Solid game they just have to find a way to deal with Puttsburghs speed and the cup is ours. Good luck my boys

COME ON SHARKS. THE ONLY THING THORNTON HAS DONE WELL IS HE BLED TO CREATE A DOUBLE MINOR AND ALL PAVELSKI HAS DONE IS HIT SO LET'S GENERATE SOME OFFENSE. Absolutely must win game tonight for the Sharks, and they'll be doing it without Hertl. I'm curious to see who Deboer puts on the top line, but I could really see a Thorton/Pavelski/Marleau as the top line, and have Couture/Ward/Donskoi as the second. Couture is better as a second line center I think, and the Couture/Ward/Donskoi line was the line that was on the ice when Braun scored iirc.
