Why is it that users can file a report up to seven days after the offense has taken place?
It doesn't make sense to me that the time period is that long. It should be reduced to 48 hours at the most.
The only thing that seven days allows someone is the chance to dig into the game records and see if they can get them banned.
Shorter reporting periods will allow users enough time to report offenses but also help to reduce report spam when people find each and every violation a person has committed in the last week.
The reason, though, that we can't just say "Only people in this game can report for violations" is because if there was a game full of friends, they can't break rules and get away with it.
By reducing the time to 48 hours or less, it leaves just enough time to report the violations and also keep out the report trolls who just want to try to get people banned and overuse the system.
This is just gonna lead to a lot more reports being filed at once, a lot more multiple reports ect.
Also what mindful said & also what about when people report on their Alta or get their friends to report cuz they can't file x snount of reports in y period

You should probably still let anyone report for rules that give the rule breaker an unfair advantage in comp games at least like copied mechanics or OGI because that does need to be kept out of games regardless of if the people there really cared

if you were moderating under that rule you suggested, you would have to check the game date AND report date every time and i think it's unnecessary. I agree that you should take grudge into account when moderating but then it's confusing because you basically have to pick either answer A) it's okay for EM users to break rules or B) EM users shouldn't break rules at all???
You can always file an appeal since this is like case by case. The mods can discuss and decide if they're going to OT or not

This is indeed a hard topic. Without reading through these eleven pages, I think that the 2-days-rule should be enforced to prevent players grudging another player, but not if there's a heavier violation that leads to, ultimately, cheating. That includes GRS, GT and usual cheating. (:

Well I meant more the revenge reporting that Harod did, and the fallout that came from that.
I don't think I even checked to see if that account was an alt so I don't know where he got that information.
dude I did not. Haro told he grs'd in a forum topic, I clicked his profile and grs was there. I did not check all his games to find a vio. I think people who did vio things obviously should get reported, even though they are my friends/em friends. Here is an example of that, https://epicmafia.com/report/166898 you can see in comments that it was a report againist a friend. So I even report friends, why not haro.
Vanc and haro are trying to make me look like I stalked him, to change the subject and no-vio his violation, make the haro victim, not guilty.

Commenting about the main topic, stalking someones games to make them banned is a thing but I dont think giving reports a 2 days range is a solution. May be you should get only one 'violation count' for the same vio thingy before you getting new ones.
I'm aware I could not write my last sentence, I'll explain with an example,
Sinek gts on February 1 Sinek gts on February 4 A report for my gt on feb 1 created at feb 6 = 1st gt vio A report for my gt on feb 4 created at feb 7= ban the neccesary time for first vio, but dont increase the violation counter that counts up to eight. And give me 'counted' 2nd gt if i gt after feb 6 report is closed.
I hope I could explain. That way I get blocked for neccesary period but dont get banned for some random bad habit of mine.
I just learn it, however mods outing our alts to their friends still sucks. Haro literally learnt my main from a corrupt mod, stalked it back to find some random suicides and reported me. But of course mods wont use bad words for this, however they wont hesitate to use them for me when I reported him once.
Sorry I forgot forums exists for mods harassment and insults againist users, so I wont be checking here, pm me if you are sincere about suspecting me for stalking with your reasons. If the case is like what I believed, you faked it to make me look bad so you can no vio an obv vio, of course keep having your fun here.
Vanc, you spammed everywhere that I stalked haro's games. There is only one report I created againist haro, and one againist his alt that i did not know that was his. So please explain how did you come to that conclusion.
