How is it that newer players become moderators over people who have been playing for years? It makes no sense tbh because wouldn't you want the older players that have more experience modding this site? We literally put in time and effort here and tokens. idk, I guess the admin team can pick who they want but don't you think vets that have been around since 2.0 or earlier are more qualified?
just mod whoever you think will do the best job for what is needed or who can learn the fastest
being a good "team player" matters too, obviously, but you should also look for people who aren't afraid to give a stance/raise their voice when they feel like an admin or another moderator is wrong. that being said you don't want someone who will go nuts if their opinion isn't the one that is deemed "correct"
old/new doesn't matter really when you consider the above. sure maybe more old players would fit the criteria (at least that's what one would think), but newer players can definitely fit it too
Anyway, I *personally* don't see whether it matters if "old" players or "new" players become moderators, but I suppose I fall in that "new" player category so it wouldn't.
I literally apply every time they need mods and I have been here since 2010..don't wanna hear that lol. But this really isn't about me..this was just a question that I have always wondered..
where is even the "proof" he blackmailed him anyways?
I will always be thanksful for Runwithfire, Eris/GaryOak and Apostasy (and a few others such as rutab) for saving me. Incredibly thankful and I won't let anyone talk crap about them.
Hmmm idk.. I'm not saying that black mail is right.....but if I remember correctly it was him "black mailing" Derfel for not reporting him to the authorities when there was solid evidence of derfel messaging a 16 year old girl suggestively...also Derfel was a teacher so that was against the rules for him as well.
