I told my coworker I met my girlfriend Krystal on an online browser game called epicmafia and he paused, then asked, "wait, one of those Facebook games right?" I said "no it has its own website." "It's called epicmafia.com"
We both laughed hysterically for a few seconds.
He said "wow man that's so random"
I said "yeah, we were both playing there." "It's a game with a group of people trying to find out who the mafia are among innocent people."
Before this convo he was talking about hitting on girls at the bar and I explained that isn't my thing. It's too awkward. I wonder what he thought about me meeting my gf on a game website.
I explained it isn't weird because she lives close, about 20 minutes away. When he asked if we'd gone out or met yet, that's when I had to lie (since we haven't for some reason and that's pretty embarrassing)
It'd be even more embarrassing if I had told him about the year I spent making everyone believe I was a literal female on this website
But the point of this story is to tell Krystal how she made me lie to my coworker
I think you can become interested in a person and all, definitely. Just meet each other then to see if there's really a connection or not... It's all in all more fun to actually meet your boyfriend or girlfriend every now and then, right? Even if it's only because solo- and webcam sex can be nice but real sex is nicer-er. (Can I say THAT on the forums, or not?) (Oh, and to be clear, I definitely would never recomment webcam sex with a person you haven't even met. And even if you met I'm not sure if it's too smart <3 )

i think if you dont want kids its fine or if you dont mind an egg/sperm donor its fine but if you want children w your partner the old fashioned way then dont settle bc youll end up resenting them for it
@Retti, with only a cam you'd still miss actualy feeling someone and such. No, I don't really believe in it. That doesn't mean that I don't believe ppl can actually feel strong emotions, I just think they're based on an image of how you want a person to be.

Love is a bunch of chemical reactions in the brain. Although you can trick yourself into feeling 'in love' with someone you haven't met, it's imo exactly that - tricking yourself. You are in love with an image of a person you don't know its right, and therefore you can make the person as you want him or her to be in your mind. So you're in love with an illusion, a perfect picture of a person.
However I think that in order to really fall in love with someone you should meet the person, bc well - love is just a bunch of chemical reactions in the brain based on lots of hormones and feromones and stuff like that.
you have my side actually we agree that edating is a real thing at least until you find out that you cant sustain your relationship but until then we're on the same side of this discussion
i saw this one couple meet on catfish after strictly edating for 8 years. its just like how can you waste your life doing that, even if you did go on mini breaks and date others in between, there is no reason to just date the computer with no intent of meeting. they blamed money problems but money problems for 8 years sounds pretty dumb to me
