Okay so rent might not be a problem, but don't kid yourself into thinking you're going to get anything handled in court in time for this not to become a problem. It actually sounds like you don't need to keep discussing your private issues on the forums so keep your head up and find other spit to focus on, like enjoying Christmas.
it would be more than enough proof. her employer will have the payroll stub for the amount she was given. she won't have any cash deposited in her bank (she kept it in cash). i bet the idiot already deposited the cash into his account, so they could check into that, not to mention he admitted to stealing it.
a judge actually won't do anything if u claim he stole money since he can just deny it.
you should get him to text you admitting to havin the money and refusing to give it back so you can bring that to court, also get the amount in the text aswell
My neighbor saw him do it though, and he did send me a text admitting it. He denied it at first but finally he was like "I think I dropped half of it on the floor but if you can't find it I'll give you the rest" like wtf??? give it all back to me dumb a
the judge will probably say that text message is very vague. devante is right. you should text him and ask why he would take money away from you? so he can be like "well i took money blah blah" oval evidence is an out of court statement to prove the truth so your best bet is to get the message that clearly shows he actually did it.
Yeah, I did get a text like that from him. I was just saying that he tried to justify not giving it all back to me by claiming he left some of it there. But in the rest of the texts he very clearly states that he took it and that he was just trying to get back at me for whatever.

a judge actually won't do anything if u claim he stole money without evidence since he can just deny it & you lived together.

lycii, it sounds like ur ex is in deepshit if you take him to small claims court. i can see a judge totally fking him for stealing the money out of your wallet after a one year relationship. not to mention it's your rent money and it happening on christmas eve
I've really really considered that. I'll give him a chance to do the right thing first but if he doesn't, then that's probably what I'm going to do.

That's why I'm done with this whole relationship/situation anyways. Even if there was stuff that could be worked out or he apologized and what not, I wouldn't ever want to deal with the violent person I know he can become. It's just amazing to me how someone can become a completely different person after a year.
You're not the same person either.
Right, but I mean that he was never violent before and the sudden change to throwing stuff and being verbally and physically abusive is a really dramatic change.

I definitely don't think it was okay. It just wasn't as horrible as it could have been, is what I'm getting at.
Yea, THIS TIME. You shouldn't consent to be with anyone that doesn't respect you enough to reserve violence from you.
