Competitive's current state

In this thread, I'll describe the whole Main Lobby Competitive with only one game.

Carbon14 Dawnstart:

My Role is Cop.

Day One: Town thought it was a good idea to NL 2 days in a row instead of using the Mislynch.

Day Two: Mafia claimed Tracker with me (Cop) visiting the Dead, so I was forced to out my role as Cop, also forcing Tracker to Counter Claim, so both power roles are out Day two.

Day Three: Tracker is killed, since the setup is the godfather setup, so Tracker is the optimal PR to kill...

So, Day three had: Cop, Godfather, 2 Villagers and a Confirmed godfather.

I told the town that the most optimal thing to do today is to not lynch the Confirmed godfather, and instead lynching outside the confirmed mafia today because we had a clear (Me), because if we just voted the Confirmed Mafia the clear will die and the game will be decided in a 3 Way no clear.

But town refused, even when I explained my logic, and they lynched the Confirmed Mafia.

Day Four: A Villager was lynching another Villager because I had an inno on a Godfather, and after the game ended he said that I gamethrew because I said that the godfather was my Village report. And then someone blamed me for the loss and said that the mafia was bad.

Because of this game, I suggest that we make the minimum points to join Competitive higher, something like 50k points, to make the trophies seriously worth something and 100% Legit..

And I'm not even joking by saying 50K points, it doesn't matter if the players who join are going to be way less, but it is better than having a meaningless trophy that is won because some people aren't good enough to play Competitive Mafia, which is why unknown people who do not deserve to trophy, end up winning a trophy even though they didn't do much all round.

scrap 50k, i say the limit should be 100k, that way only the absolute finest, the cream of the crop, the top of the heap, the crème de la crème of epicmafia players will have access to competitive play. this is the only way to completely purge all inferior noobs and have only the most elite of comp games.

but then i realized thats the point, and that you are contradicting yourself + you double ended thread, so everything i post will be irrelevant. and i hate feeding trolls.

I said the limit didn't and shouldn't be 10k. You were literally only looking at the 10k and not even looking at anything else I said :fp:.

You're an idiot for thinking it's limiting noobs at all. All it does is promote competitive play between people that are already palying Competitive and new players that want to play Competitive. It would change absolutely nothing population wise.

you are implying that comp players play anything other than comp and unranked circlejerks... and that has only been true when comp players farm points to get a new alt to competition
that would be absolutely no different than what we have now, so what are you even saying?

Has anyone considered age is a factor in "higher level" games. I tend to make the assumption the average age in sandbox is 13, redheart is 16 and comp is 19/20. Imho it plays a factor, idk how big of a factor

We NL.

Day two: Miller dies, so the most optimal lynch is Player 1 since he is guiltied and miller died, instead, I got a bunch of idiots screaming at me because I'm "not outing reads" when I was playing optimally.. And I ended up getting lynched after someone claimed to be doctor, who saved the Guilty on day one.

So, now.. what do new players not get about playing optimally? Instead they just like to pretend that they're doing something, and try to "out reads".

So, in that game the players decided that instead of lynching the guilty which was 50/50, we want to build up from scratch again because we are braindead.
it actually isn't optimal to lynch the guilty in that situation if GF is still alive.

so you want newbs to learn to play setups without comp players there to guide them, continue to lean on their own understanding in a vacuum , and expect them to know how to play when they get to comp? get real

also i have way more than 10 alts and i havnt played a game in months.
How is it without comped players if it's a Lobby where Comped players and players wanting to play Comped would be...?

And I wasn't talking about you and your alts, idek who you are. There was some guy spamming Main lobby with like 10 games of Crack the Code and multiple alts
