So Saints GM just confirmed Drew Brees will be their QB next year.
This saddens me, the Saints have an absolutely abhorrent defense and no chance at winning the Super Bowl no matter who they have at QB.
Brees is still one of the best, moving too a better team would give him a shot at winning the Super Bowl. Saints needs to start the process of rebuilding.
A departure from New Orleans would greatly benefit both parties.
Chandler Jones: Patriots Defensive End Hospitalized After Reaction to Synthetic Marijuana, Report Says Jones was hospitalized early Sunday after having an adverse reaction to synthetic marijuana, The Boston Globe reported. He has been at Patriots practice every day this week, the team said.
I did watch the game. I've already given all the reasons why I think Seattle outplayed Minnesota, not gonna repeat myself.
And I'm sorry you give into the sensationalism of a sudden change in win probability due to the unexpected outcome of a final minute play rather then evaluating the overall play of the entire game.
It was a close game, hard fought and the final result was largely influenced by luck and variance, but the team that played better, both by the statistics and the final result (and in my opinion the eye test if you don't place too much emphasis on the final minute) won.
And mute me if you must. I think it's pretty sad that you'd mute someone just for disagreeing with them. I prefer not living in an echo chamber. Discussion are boring when I agree with everyone all the time, I prefer the liveliness of dissenting views.
Seattle outplayed Minnesota, people don't remember that simply because Minnesota had the opportunity to win and shanked the field goal.
Actually Minnesota deserved that win IMO. Your pretty close to being muted. I don't think you've said one thing I have agree'd with ever.
Seattle won off of a broken play, back to back with an AllDay strip fumble on their own 30. Vikings deserved that win badly. Its almost like you didn't watch the game Trep
Patriots/Chiefs- Patriots win. Chiefs offense didn't look too good against one of the most overrated defenses in the NFL. Clowney was a scratch, Wilfork is old, JJ Watt is hurt. The Texans also have one of the worst offenses in the NFL. The Patriots are getting a bunch of key players back. (Volmer, Hightower, and Edelman) The Patriots are undefeated with Edelman, Gronk, and Amendola, so I think they have the chiefs defense checked. Also, Hightower can shut down any running offense, so the Chiefs are kinda screwed.
NE 35, KC 7
Nobody is taking the Chiefs seriously for some reason. They didn't luck their way into a 12 game win-streak, and had it not been for some Jamaal Charles fumbles back in week 2, the Chiefs would have won their division.
Now that said I agree that the Patriots are the favourite, not just because they're getting a few key pieces back from injury, but mainly because it's in Foxborough and nobody (except the Ravens) can beat Tom Brady in Foxborough in January.
However if Tom Brady's injury is serious (he injured his ankle vs Miami, not sure how serious it is), then Kansas may give New England a run for their money, and quite possible come out ahead.
I'm looking forward to this week, these are the eight best teams in the nfl (well technically 8 of the best 9, Cinnci was top 5 before Dalton went down), and I think some of these matchups are gonna be closer then people give credit.
Steelers should beat the Broncos if Roethlisberger and Brown play.
Steelers are in my opinion the favourite to win the AFC (assuming Big Ben and Antonio Brown play obviously), but baring major injuries the Super Bowl will be won by whichever team wins the NFC (Which will most likely be whoever wins the game in Carolina this weekend)
yes the field goal that would've won the game for minnesota was irrelevant, since the seahawks played better
Fun this about sports, luck plays a part in the game, and the team that plays better doesn't always win.
If Minnesota succeeded in that field goal, I'd be talking about how the team that outplayed the other lost.
