well considering my personal distaste with the 8.1 interface, hearing about the upgrade was amazing and I reserved the upgrade instantly. The last 2 hours nothing has happened and like ScubaSteve said, I don't have anything of grave importance on this laptop so any bugs that (might) occur won't really affect me.
Why would you volunteer to beta test something as crucial as an OS? I say wait atleast 3 months, or until the first major patch. Whatever comes first.
For people like me who don't use Windows as their daily driver, there's really no major risk what-so-ever in immediately upgrading. If you do use Windows as your main productivity operating system and have important data that you can't afford to lose, obviously you're right in saying that it's a better idea to hold off for a bit. This holds especially true for professional environments who, for whatever reason, run their business through Windows.

harry it's actually cool, this interface is a lot better than windows 8 simply because you don't go into a difference universe full of stupid apps everytime you click the windows button.
