idk why people complain about this mod team btw, i don't see any real BAD violations that have been given out, compared to before when we'd have a complaint thread about a bad mod every other day.

these new mods have done a pretty solid job as much as i can see and there isn't as much as a rift in the community vs mods, they all seem like good ppl

Are you talking about community violations or in-game violations?

in game and gold-heart only, at least for now, bc red-heart has a lot of newer players.

Me?

hateful comment in game shouldn't be so severe, where i get noted for saying "what role are you n*****"

if i had said something along the lines of "you stupid f**** n*****" that ill be worthy of a violation.

Calling someone a r****** is not a violation either.

the rules are too strict for a texted based solely game where you need to appeal to peoples emotions to get the game to go in your favour

Thought 1 :
Remove either the note or the warning violation for comp games since they're the same thing.

Thought 2:
Stop being so strict on Hateful comment violations, it's a competitive game, it's not that serious bro

notes SHOULD only be given for new players if there's a warning as the real 1st offense, so you're right on that one.

HC is a big deal bc people can't control themselves apparently

If you lose 5 games in a row you should get a 3-day ban, IMO.

Because 5 games in a row = throwing?

Jana it's not hard to see players that go out of their way to make sure they have a negative impact on a game. You should award their efforts with more than 12/24 ban from games so they actually have time to reflect on their actions before the next time they would have played anyways.

mod team actually did discuss making gold-heart punishments more severe but then other things came up... thoughts, anyone?

i would just skip warnings for all violations, since they have 1500 points (essentially 30 games) to understand and know the rules.

too severe imo

is it? maybe instead of warnings, halve the punishment from the 2nd offense.

last time a DLYV variant was comped there were a bunch of people double-yak killing to unrank the game because they didn't want to be mafia.

This is also why you should look into banning people for more than 24 hours when they ruin games. How willing do you think people would be throw games if they couldn't play for 2/3 days after it?

Not unless you're striking down (up?) on what you define as gamethrowing. There's been a decent amount of cases in a short timespan where people haven't trolled or threw the games but they receive punishment anyway. I'm all for handing out bigger and better violations but only if they're deserved. No need to sacrifice it for even staler play.

Don't take it wrong way, kill all mods and all that - it's just getting old seeing you complain about the playerbase for a solid 4 years.

Yea, no one should point out when mods blatantly disregard their purpose on the site by denying everyone something that few people exploit.

And name the last player that could be considered "legendary". It wont be anyone coming up after the the unifying of lobbies because their hasn't been one. The problems aren't even that challenging the take on either, you'd just have to have a mod staff willing to do it.

yes because seanmanx and petermh will definitely stop doing things like that if we warn them and give vios...

also there was a lot of debate on playing to current win cons vs future ones and what counted as gamethrowing

if they are suspended they cant do it. if they come back from a suspension and do it again it leads to a ban.

when the doc could save yak, there was a valid argument about playing to your future wincon.. some said it was gamethrowing to play against your current wincon, which i disagreed with... i argued the case vigorously.

now that the doc cant save yak and insure that everyone alive can win ITS 100% CHEATING to assume you will be yakked. there is no way you can know that you will be yakked unless the yak has already decided that they are playing to your win... which is textbook cheating.

this is what i said but there was a lot of dissent about this last time dlyg was comped and i think eventually arcbell made some argument with regards to playing to a potential future win con that a majority agreed with but the setup got decomped bc of the DYKing

You mean like all the times we had to beg to get you unbanned only for you to start gamethrowing against runners? That wasn't a good gimmick.

That was good, and also it didn't last for more than a week.

And all of the mods powers were contained in the life of the person they were doing this too so nothing happened to them.

Also DLYV isn't a competitive setup but that doesn't mean there isn't a way to make a yak setup. I'll be working on making one once I come back from work.

bill made fisher-price DLYV and it got comped but i forgot what happened... i think it ended up being onesided af? if you do make a yak setup i'll mod plus it for you bc i think it'd be cool so post it or PM me

UniversalStudios says

There's no point in explaining this to the mods, they either know and don't care, or are too dumb/slow to realize they're wrong.

well insulting them will definitely help.

Duke says

i have been educating mods since the first time i read the rules XD

and boy are we glad we have you to educate us, Duke. if only you could bless each and every one of us with your 100% perfect interpretation of every rule and every caveat for every situation.

have to go for awhile now, wish i had more time for more sass.
