they'd have to rewrite all the rules and punishments, and then it creates further stratification between red/gold hearts. keeping track of it would be an extra layer of work a shortstaffed mod team doesn't need.
As it stands it's 2 consecutive days of not talking IIRC. It shouldn't have a timespan as much as just be handled case-by-case I think. I haven't played many goldhearts lately but getting contributors to the game is a real issue from what I've experienced; basically what I'm suggesting is a longer timeout for violations and stricter verdicts.
lucid doesn't like strict violations, especially in red hearts. a solution would be to have separate punishments for each type of hearts, but that wouldn't work given the limitations of the current system.

Simple, if you're caught suiciding for a runner you cannot win a trophy the next round, if you're an ex cheater/ banned user ect for example me you'll get rebanned for cheating.

arcbell made some argument with regards to playing to a potential future win con that a majority agreed
so this was post doc/yak changes?
if so, there is no "playing to your future wincon" unless you are cheating. it was different when you could ensure that everyone alive could win, because it was decided in game as opposed to before you joined the game with your friend...
there were fallout courses (lynching claimed yak) and other measures to ensure you couldnt lose. your future wincon was a thing (like cult joints still are).
now, if you help yak win... the only way to do that is lynching town and hoping the yak keeps his word. since there is no way to insure he keeps his word unless you have a cheating arrangement, he can screw you over easily.
to joint with mafia and excuse it as playing to your future win-con you have to be able to say that you know you will win by doing it... otherwise lynching the yak is the only way to insure a win.
This mod team is the best round up we have had in ages.
just add me and it's probably the sugoi-ist team in history

If you lose 5 games in a row you should get a 3-day ban, IMO.
Because 5 games in a row = throwing?
I mean if you can't win games ... what's the point of playing

Jana it's not hard to see players that go out of their way to make sure they have a negative impact on a game. You should award their efforts with more than 12/24 ban from games so they actually have time to reflect on their actions before the next time they would have played anyways.
gt is 24 hour for both 1st and 2nd violation. i don't know how we could up that any further without lucid coding something in, but how long were you thinking? honestly this mostly applies to grs since suiciding for/against runners is an issue, especially near the ends of rounds. and most other violations are scarce except isp i guess.
also the rule that accumulation of 2 gold-heart violations in one round = suspension from the round is back in play and will be enforced afaik.

DLYV is bad for competition because you can play for a future win condition, joint with mafia, and players can 'throw' against each other by yakking people they want to lose in situations that are bad for mafia. Also, it's a pretty heavily meta-induced night roulette where half the table gets points every game.
yak setups are fun as heck, but they're not good for comp.

Are you talking about community violations or in-game violations?
in game and gold-heart only, at least for now, bc red-heart has a lot of newer players.
What kind of changes have you discussed already? The uptime of time-outs after getting violated or just reducing the number of violations before something "serious" happens?
As Satan suggested I think removing the warning/note is a good idea for gold-heart since you're probably in the know of what you're doing.
You should definitely get something done about the ISP rule.
