perspective aside, it doesn't help that most young people entering the workforce after completing a formal education now are the very ones publishing gen. y-leaning think pieces that cater to naive passivity and whimsy. and who's reading all that tripe? teens. if you want an overall increase in motivation try telling that 24 year old upstart that it's not okay to be instructing their younger that it's really okay to mess up a lot because the government is mean.
Retti, I work in a high school and as a result I've realized that one of the reasons teenagers are so melodramatic and awful at decision making is that they have no perspective. They are unable - or at least it doesn't occur to them - to picture a future where they are functional adults. Not trying to tell you you've got the maturity of a teenager; I had the same problem for at least half my college career. It's hard but if you can bootstrap a bit of perspective like that then I think you might feel less unhinged.

i had also pretty much conceded my lack of musical ability earlier in the thread when i spoke of being astounded by my buddy's ability and giving him my keyboard, so u cannot use this against me as me having a deluded self image. i am just a trolling irishman lol
