Anthony is a good guy, an amazing player, and probably a good mod. However, I think it's important to enforce a no-tolerance approach on cheaters as mods.

But when has Sonseray ever contributed a good thread OP?
things like "attention and respect on the internet" that wouldn't be perks to people like you or me are a lot of the reasoning behind people wanting to be moderators and you're a fool to pretend it isn't
i feel like "no one is allowed to play in any games until the report count gets back under 40" is such an obvious solution that it must've been discussed before but who knows
i feel like limiting your volunteers like that isn't actually a good plan.
then maybe they shouldn't be volunteering
if people want the perks of being a moderator on the site while not actually doing the job then make them pay for it within the confines of the site rather than enforcing some arbitrary quota
You don't tell someone volunteering in a soup kitchen that they can't take a break because the queque of homeless people is too long.
They're doing it out of the goodness of their heart.
no they aren't, don't be stupid.
the mods, not the soup kitchen guys.

Actually, most mods are doing this so they can have a sense of power of people on the internet, but the analogy still holds weight lol ayyyy
"people playing red heart games for 3 hours while the report queue is at 80+" and being a mod for a limited amount of time doesn't really excuse the latter
You mean FP point farmers would rather farm point than reports?

what perks

I would consider it more of a site-wide limitation. Or put a quota on the amount of reports a player can make to one every three days or so. People would value their liberty to report a lot more.
No
Why not?

i've been saying for 4 years that the overreporting problem goes away if people are blocked from filing all reports for 10 minutes after the end of their most recent game so people have a chance to cool off but ~phil~
sure that gets rid of the frivolous reports, but it also stops people from making legitimate reports that should be vios because 10 minutes later people care less or have forgotten or got pissed off went off the computer or entered a new game.

Just dropping in to say Jericho was actually a really good mod when we modded alongside each other and I have pretty high expectations of Anthony as well.

That's actually a great solution.

Well it would be a great application to the whole site in its entirety. The report system is used far too quickly.
