Chances are you'll mason a blue D1, 2 remaining blues and 3/4 PRs would be a standard scenario, it's unlikely scum's going to CC both tracker/watcher so you'll probably end up lynching in the blues then leave the rest in the hands of the masons, the reason you don't just have masons claim without anyone else is that you're probably dumbly mason a PR
at a glance, it looks like pap should visit the kill and hooker should nk, as hooker is more valuable, however if masons are outing d1 in this setup, then hooker will always be mafia to tracker. so i think that hooker should visit the kill and pap should nk.
am i wrong in thinking this? should masons even be outing d1?
You're basically saying that it's not fair if you lose because you died N1. Actually, no outcome is fair if you die N1. If, for example, killer had a 50% chance of winning if he died N1 by some sort of game mechanic, would that make it fair? No. It wouldn't. Why would a coinflup be fair. Nothing N1 is "fair".
I say a blue losing a game that he died N1 is just as bad as this. You can say "oh but he still had a chance of winning" all you want, but that's not true. His team did. If the blue wins, it's just as unfair. It's a win they did not deserve. Both the blue and the killer that die N1 will get an outcome that is completely irrelevant to their skills. Neither them is more fair than the other. Like I said, it's a flaw of night start. The only difference is that killer is more easy to feel bad for (since you know the outcome), but competitively speaking, both a blue getting a free win and a killer getting a free loss are equivalent in uncompetitiveness. The truth is, night start is simply uncompetitive.
Last but not least, you're implying that N1 auto loss is enough to blacklist a setup from comp. But there are plenty of competitive setups that have the possibility of n1 autowin for town, aka auto loss for mafia. Flaw with night start, yet these setups aren't banned. If you want examples just search up two mafia setups with bomb/oracle etc and an investigative role. Easy N1 auto win in these, and there's plenty others.
yeah I remember mentioning it to him in one of my emails, but I don't know if anything came of it. I know more recently when Vancy was admin that the mods made a list of glitches and he said that he would fix them. Don't know if mason/killer was logged.
Agreed on that. I'd mech test, but I'm at work. Pragmatic thing to do would be to have turq comp something else ahead in case she can't get on later to switch if PP is proven to not work.
Mods could always switch back one of her selections (at her discretion) to PP if they find out there isn't a glitch and if they see that it actually resembles mafia more than roulette.
