I'm worried about essentially what riot said, that we'll spend too much time writing pastebins on the "easy" training cheaters that we'll miss the more complex and intelligent cheaters that will go on to steal the round's trophies

just for once can you stop trying to make the discussion about yourself and what you did and how important you are, and talk about the present?

Should also be pointed out that essentially nobody even remotely complained when I blacklisted CM (unlike when A&D was removed) because everyone had just lived through a bunch of awful rounds that were absolutely full of cheating and saw just how bad it was.
what i think about All of this: comp o2r so i can run

there's nothing about the setup itself that inherently suggests it shouldn't be comped, and you're just worried about what red heart players will do if they get to play their favorite setup on gold hearts. that's a correct assessment, yeah?
well excuse me joining the conversation at a point where my mods are being insulted by you & not thinking "huh i should really read what he said before - maybe a valid argument was made"

i did that before you showed up in this thread to pour cold water on me, and was ignored
i gave you the reasons i'm not allowing you to comp it, and you haven't done anything other than throw a tantrum. Nothing you have said has even begun to convince me of allowing you to comp it. So perhaps calming down, stopping with the insults and giving me why you think it should be allowed without pissing me off might be a good place to start.

That wasn't the case, though. When CM was comped, we usually got 6-7 additional training cheaters, and regardless of how easy most of them were to catch, it still takes time to write pastebins. Time which was then not going into the better Comp cheaters, without a huge round pause to catch up. Huge round pauses are universally accepted as being bad, so guaranteeing they will happen is just plain dumb.

the one with the sheriff and the blacksmith, however, is significantly better balanced

because the possibility of saccing the bomb actually significantly changes the meta, especially when there's a fungun in play because its always optimal for any scum to hipfire the bomb
valid argument. counterpoint: this iteration of A&D is actually not the first. the setup was LESS scumsided with millions of plays (it wasn't as scumsided as A&D). it was remade with the promise of "it's not as scumsided as it seems, watch the stats change if we remake it!" (which ended up falling flat in the remake's face)

if you want to call this lazy mod dickwaving, then please do so so i can just accept that you're unwilling to listen to others or accept positive change and give up on the idea of ever trying to convince this administration of anything

A&D shouldn't be blacklisted, but seeing as A&R is pretty much exactly the same (and allowed), who really cares?

there's no reason that games from over a year ago should factor into point payouts, but that will never change because ~phil~
i'm not really interested in arguing strongly about it because i don't see mod opinion changing any time soon. however i will admit there are a million other reasons i dislike A&D/CM in competitive that you could argue fuel my intent to discredit them

thank you, for making the case that sds should be banned as well
(which, by the way, it shouldnt. also point payouts arent an accurate barometer, seeing as snl is still only 51% town due to thousands of plays before the current snl meta was developed)
