My thoughts on previous cheaters

I'm all for second chances, I screw up a ton and I'd like to think I have some leeway when I make a mistake. With that being said and in light of the new cheating allegation towards Sidekick, my philosophy with cheaters on this site is and will almost always be once a cheater always a cheater.

The reasoning behind this is because people don't just cheat for the fun of it, they cheat BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH. So what in the world would create a sudden shift in skill when the cheater has been banned for 6 months. If they weren't good enough to win a trophy 6 months ago why would they be good enough to win a trophy now.

There's not even like a real penalty to cheating, you get banned for 6 months from an online java mafia site where said ban can be easily bypassed by creating another account. Like there are basically next to no consequences for cheating.

Basically formers cheaters who come back and win a trophy such as sidekick should be under extremely heavy scrutiny and I know there are players that cheated before but have "reformed," but for the most part if you didn't have the skill to win a trophy in the past, there's really no idication as to why you have the skill to win one now.

He deleted all of Brett's accounts but that was a personal favor to me, basically. :) The only one he left standing was Giga96 because Giga would have flipped his ship. I like the idea too, personally.


He told me to never delete the account, but then changed his mind saying he didn't care; I only recently deleted it

Besides, the account belonged to me when Riot promised Carly to delete all of Brett's accounts

and I only deleted it because I thought I'd be gone and I didn't want people thinking I won a gold that I never did

Not sure if she was also banned for that (she was simply already banned iirc), but I banned Enamoured for cheating originally (she had a bunch of anime accounts or somethinng like that). Ask her.

That's why people thought operation leafstorm was revenge for her being caught remember?

When you run, you put a huge amount of time and effort into your games to get a trophy. It's absolutely unfair to get all your time and effort wasted because of a cheater, no doubt about that.

anyone who thinks that both a) players only cheat because they're too stupid to win legitimately and b) our cheating punishments aren't quite draconic enough and we need to install a one-and-done death penalty to all cheaters because they might do it again honestly isn't worth dignifying with real, actual words

you can talk all you want about users trying to do sick owns on kylehlp but in reality most of us have had enough of ostensibly stupid posts such as the op and would rather save our breath than waste time responding to nonsense from white noise sub-90 IQ users whose minds couldn't be changed regardless

you've proven time after time after time that you're one of the most irredeemably stupid people on this website, on the same level as brakes and zovea, and the fact that this abomination of a thread managed to get more than 4 posts is the only proof i've seen on this site that people don't deserve second chances, because everyone that hasn't forum blocked you yet was clearly misguided in thinking that you'd ever improve as a poster or person.

Who cares. People take this game too seriously. Plus, it's super easy to cheat on this site. Just keep all chats oral and undocumented. People are stupid since they waste time typing to someone who then stabs their back through a pastebin. If you're going to dedicate that much time to a pixelated text-based website, then so be it. People cheat. There's people posting on here who are cheating as we speak and will get away with it.

Yes BlackBattler that is exactly what I said. Man, reading comprehension...

I said it wasn't the correct way to deal with former cheaters. What bernin said is definitely one way, what FoodLion said in the other thread is also definitely another solid way.
