Remove Vancyon as Admin

I am become Brutus.

A. The mod team is full of incompetent loons, sandbox players, cheaters, and account sharers who are allowed to stay because vancyon is a coward.

B. The new sub-forums are stupid and reflect the absolutely terrible ideas he is responsible for. This is like the biggest change he's made during his adminship. He added an effing food forum. On a site about java mafia.

C. He lets things like Manhunt and a and r be comped, thus diluting the only valuable part of this horrible cesspool of a website (gold hearts)

D. He took like a 2 week vacation like basically right after becoming admin because he can't handle the heat.

F. He's immature and he posts like pokemon pictures and stuff. Screw that.

G. He's the worst admin I've seen during my 5 years on the site. I was not around for arcbell.

H. Deadmin him and let's try again and deadmin that one too later on when they suck

I dont PM Mods. Or they answer publically in the forums, or i dont talk with them at all. If they are not brave enough to make excuses in public, then there is no reason to pm with them.
It's not about being brave it's about being human and therefore not liking the experience of being forced onto a public stage to defend every choice you make against a horde of irrational attacks. As you can see he is doing that but it's a lot nicer for people if they can have discussions instead of being dunked into a tank of piranhas.

I dont care about the new forums. I care how it took them hours to make a decision like that, but if its change in rules it takes them months...

I've been replying to all posts in order. Stop being so impatient, especially when I'm devoting all of this time to actually addressing everyone's concerns.

Rule changes are more controversial than the addition of sub-forums, so obviously its important to devote more time to them. They're also harder to agree on and almost all discussions just end up back where they started. If the player base is unanimously dissatisfied with a rule then I work to change it as soon as possible, but otherwise time is not of the essence. What rules do you want changed so badly, anyway? If you give me some examples, it will be easier for me to tell you what's taking so long, or why those changes won't work.
There are other thigs, many other things. If you cant remember stuff, why you ask me ? You are head admin, you should keep up with what is happening. Also force yourself. Why things go the way they start? Because you dont force yourself.
I'm AN admin, not your personal *****.

At least Harrold is honest about his motivations. Honesty is a quality I think our mods should have, they wouldn't cheat or account share with banned users if they were honest.

silencer is a bad role too but at least a silenced player can work within the game mechanics to communicate with the town

how the hell are you supposed to play mafia as the clear at lylo when there's an entire day missing from your game due to fiddler
You're right, the role honestly encourages ISP. The reason I allow silencer is because of BAC, which is a little better than YYC. Bronto may have been right to not add those two roles to Main Lobby. Next time someone tries to comp YYC I'll discuss it with the team.
i know your intentions are good but i feel like putting off discussion until there's a 24h window in which a decision needs to be made is a little counterintuitive

It does take attitudes into account. Keep in mind that Slow's attitude was not extremely bad. I didn't say attitudes make or break the application (if it's not that bad), but I said it's definitely taken into account. I don't think you understand the caliber of "bad attitude" or what kind of bad attitude I am talking about
Enlighten me then. What types of attitudes are you talking about, Rutab?
I don't want to get too specific because then I'll give too many examples of certain users and I do not want to call them out like that
Smart way of bringing this argument to a standstill without you losing it.

Still, the original point here is that you have to be friendly with certain people to get modded, and there are some members who apply, great attitudes and all, but they aren't in the circle. Application just sits there for years. What happens, then?
Actually, I prefer to be respectful to the non-competent moderator candidates. You should see the extremely fake attitudes we get on some of the applications; it's almost laughable.

the biggest issue with a&d is the fact that it's impossible to shift the meta towards the correct way to play the setup as town, which is to have all 3 town PRs claim as PR day 1 and lynch
