Remove Vancyon as Admin

I am become Brutus.

A. The mod team is full of incompetent loons, sandbox players, cheaters, and account sharers who are allowed to stay because vancyon is a coward.

B. The new sub-forums are stupid and reflect the absolutely terrible ideas he is responsible for. This is like the biggest change he's made during his adminship. He added an effing food forum. On a site about java mafia.

C. He lets things like Manhunt and a and r be comped, thus diluting the only valuable part of this horrible cesspool of a website (gold hearts)

D. He took like a 2 week vacation like basically right after becoming admin because he can't handle the heat.

F. He's immature and he posts like pokemon pictures and stuff. Screw that.

G. He's the worst admin I've seen during my 5 years on the site. I was not around for arcbell.

H. Deadmin him and let's try again and deadmin that one too later on when they suck

Don't let manhunt be comped ever again


That round was god-awful for many reasons, and manhunt didn't help. I'm back on the fence about manhunt. I'll have to discuss it more with the mod team. Still, though, I do believe trophy-winners should have more freedom in choosing competitive setups.


removing manhunt is essentially saying "my idea of what Competitive Mafia should be is better than yours" and that's pretty dumb imho

like yeah no one's ever going to mistake manhunt for a scumhunting setups but there's a reason that strict mechanical setups succeed on EM and it's because a lot of people can't scumhunt and don't want to think outside the box. there's absolutely no reason to take the keys away from people that want to play competitive mafia in a way that's different from the majority of forum posters. the point yield probably needs to be tweaked but i think that's true of all setups. i'll post more about this when i make my Serious Topic later

all that said, if you're gunning for setups that ruin the competitive environment you should be looking at yin yang chaos before anything else, seeing as the entire goal of fiddler is to completely remove one person from the game who also still has to vote and "scumhunt" while not being able to actually participate in the game. there's zero reason fiddler should be allowed in comp


Though you need to look at it from the perspective of 2 people competing for a trophy, whereby one is running on Manhunt and another is running on a scumhunting setup. Should the one running on Manhunt edge the competition, it can only be viewed upon as a negative by the majority of the community, as they would feel it unjustified.

silencer is a bad role too but at least a silenced player can work within the game mechanics to communicate with the town

Screenshotting someone's piechart is one of the most ancient and effective ways to belittle someone on epicmafia. It is a crypto style art, and thus very deadly. Most users do not survive the subsequent burns

No, it's that everyone does have a fair shot at modding. We get most of our applications from strictly classic mafia players and I'm pretty sure everyone would start complaining when "Oh my god who the heck is he I've never seen him before I don't like change where is an older user??"


It is baffling that you believe that only old users should be the only one allowed to mod. If I submitted an application (don't worry, I don't plan on it) I would be denied because the people in the circle don't like me and I am older than most of you. It all comes down to who they like, and if you think that's okay, something has to be done.


I don't give two poops if you're older than me. Attitude has a lot to do with who is modded and believe me, there are some really angry people who should never be modded.
