yeah if mods start reporting games they're simply reading then it could easily turn into a witch hunt to get people they don't like banned. It's better to not report games unless you're in them.
Our "job" is to handle reports. I personally don't report anyone for GRS. If you want to report someone feel free to do so, don't expect other people to do it for you.

why modding sucks: they wanna change a simple violation bc 5 people in the game did it, give me an OGI vio for threatening to sui when someone else actually did GRS, not give that guy GRS even tho a mod WAS IN THE GAME but the mod was so butthurt he reported me
I told you if you wanted to report the guy for grs to do it. Don't be mad if you didn't file a report. If you read the rule for OGI you broke it and I thought we talked this through last night so I'm a bit puzzled as to why you felt the need to post this.
why should i feel the need to report it when i know about 3-4 mods read the game and know it's grs and should do their job

I would support modding Areg, not that my onion matters much.

Thanks, I was bored, and I though about how becoming a mod would be cool(minus all the report reading) so I looked through the mod team, and got the idea, to make the thread, and find the reason why some ppl don't like mods.
Just so you know, your complaints about people with low karma: a lot of people self-delete their accounts and remake new ones, or choose to mod on alts that are newer than their mains. So people with low karma and low points may actually have a lot more experience than meets the eye.
If you don't enjoy reading games and reports, then you probably wouldn't find modding very cool.

Hi Areg. I liked your thread btw.

Some good points brought up - I will say though as far as misconceptions go, it's a lot easier to think someone is rude and dismissive if you only see them behaving that way and don't get to interact with them in any other capacity.
Had I never worked with Slow or had the opportunity to get to know him personally, and only saw his forum presence, I would've thought he was rude and kind of an egotist too. Now knowing him, it's a lot easier to read what he says as him joking around and I can vouch that he's a good person and strong moderator. I don't condone how he behaved sometimes, but I didn't discredit his work as a mod for it since I knew he took it very seriously and wanted to do a great job. It'd be a crime since he was honestly really phenomenal to work with and I enjoyed his company in mod chat.
Like if I say something like "I'm the effing GOAT bow down to me", it's funny because you know that I'm joking around, because a lot of you have gotten to speak with me privately or seen me post elsewhere and have a better idea of my personality. If someone else you don't know says that, it's easy to misconstrue because that's the only side you get to see. It's easy to forget that people only see what you show them about yourself, especially in an e-nvironment.
That's in part why I always tried to get mods to be nicer on the forums. A lot of people will only see you or interact with you in that capacity and I always thought it'd be best to try and show as positive/respectful a side as possible, especially if you expected it back.
I think some people are incredibly rude towards mods, I don't like that and I don't think it's necessary or productive. I also think that as a mod you should at least try your hardest to behave in a different way yourself.
Respect goes both ways, and although I truly feel there's a group that treats their mods incredibly bad, I don't believe this will change if (some) mods treat these people badly in return.

Someone who gets it. Respect goes both ways
