Bias should be a demodable action. The problem is don't let your mods let people slide. It would be hard for them to act like they didn't see person x breaking a rule. If these rules are actually freaking enforced, there will be less rule breaking on this site. I mean there is at least one person who trolls the whole game every other game I'm in. That right there tips games the wrong way, and even when reported, its always a no vio.
could you provide an example? I believe you, I just want to see what you mean to see if we're both on the same page about trolling.
As far as bias goes, let's be real - there's bias everywhere and it's impossible to eliminate. there'd be no mods. Even when you think you're making an objective decision, someone will cry bias.
There's literally no way you can completely kill all your feelings and be objective, there always will be bias especially if someone is being an towards you lol
You can sustain from giving an opinion but you can't pretend you're unbiased

Bronto are you srsly saying "yeah this person is a douche to everyone, everywhere it matters... Buuuuuuut i had him on skype and mod chat where only a small few of us communicate and he's a pretty nice guy"? I expected better from you, that was hard to read.
Also, whos bright idea was it to make it so the mods 'only handle reports'? If a mod sees blatant rule breaking, they should hand out punishments, report or not. This is basic modding, I can't believe I even have to make these type of posts to the people with status on this site.
I'm just saying it's easy to misconstrue, which is why I wanted to have mods have a more positive forum presence. I just don't think it's fair to discredit his ability because of that. I told him numerous times to tone it down when I saw it, but I wasn't going to follow around and micromanage his posting.
I just don't like the witch hunt aspect of searching for people to report. It easily becomes "I don't like this person so I will report them for breaking a rule", while letting your pals slide because you don't want to get them in trouble.
Bias is pretty much impossible to eliminate for most people, so discouraging them from a "search and destroy" mentality when it comes to rulebreakers (except cheating, mainly) is probably better than mods playing big brother and combing through every game to report every infraction.

mods should have thick skin. if you have to tell someone to stop because of the weakest insult ever then maybe youre not cut out for it.

Hey Satan, I am quite offended by your comments and would appreciate it if you stopped harassing me. Thank you!
yeah if mods start reporting games they're simply reading then it could easily turn into a witch hunt to get people they don't like banned. It's better to not report games unless you're in them.
don't worry we don't have bear there anymore to abuse that
