american conservatism at it's finest. it's also lucid's rules so the mods gotta do what they gotta do. they obviously made this new thread in the hopes of establishing some consistency and avoid caroline getting vios and peta getting off with a verbal warning.
well honestly this is all trite and i have held the opinion that one or two instances of someone saying f*ck wasn't that big of a deal as the forums serve a niche audience and i don't think anyone would be up in arms about it but apparently there was a 3 page complaint thread about precedence because someone used asteriks to self-censor their swear or something
We have a censor, people bypass that censor, there are rules in place to punish people for doing so.
Is it over the top? Yes, but I'm trying to be as lenient as possible about it. This isn't really fun to have to rule on when you too think the rule is silly.
I'd much rather play mafia than worry about cursing on a forum.
They probably cared more about the vivid sexual harassment that was passed on to them and the cyber bullying than saying [REDACTED], especially since swearing or cursing isn't mentioned at all in their policy.
