It does one-to-one translations fairly decently, and common constructions, but has trouble preserving sentence structure, flavouring particles, separable words in languages that have separable words, gendered articles in certain languages and cases, and idiomatic phrases in non-oblique contexts.

not for me. but as lady gaga once said, do what you want. i don't think it's a way for girls to "hide their faces" or "mask what's real" that's some bs. (i'm not saying there's no validity to it because a lot of the socialization of young women contributes to *some* women/girls feeling uncomfortable outside of make-up). however i've found most people who wear make-up do it because they want to, aka for themselves, because they like the way it looks and it's fun for them.
