I'll retract from the discussion now, I told you all what I think because 1) I think openness is very important 2) I wanted to avoid any 'oh which mod would have recommended gaf' speculations and 3) I feel bad for Gaf, I don't think he deserves this.
Last words, I am very sorry to see good 2 mods that want to quit over this. I never expected that to happen. I don't think it's necessary either, because I truly think we could all work together in peace and fun. I'm sorry to see not all my mod colleagues seem to feel that way.
You might know his known alts but you can't 100% know his secret alts if he's proxying. I'm using abc as an example, gaf is a cheater just like abc, he's no different imo.

ABC continuously bypasses his suspension to troll, break rules and post awful things in the forums. It is not comparable. That disgusting x-rated content is still burned in the back of my mind.
I also feel really bad for Gaf, he doesn't deserve this backleash. He applied to being a moderator because he cares about the site and wants to help out. If I was in his shoes I wouldn't have a fun time coming home.
