I regret to inform you that I will be disabling the competition from Training Lobby after trophies are given out for this round.
Almost every round since its inception, there has been a major cheating investigation in the Training Round, some people have gotten away with it, and others have not. Participation has also waned considerably since its inception.
This does not mean the competition will be disabled permanently, but I will be disabling it for the time being. I'm hoping everyone can reconsider their actions and understand that we work very hard to keep the rounds clean, and it's simply becoming too much work for us to manage in addition to the Comp Lobby investigations (which are surprisingly less frequent).
Many of you who have won trophies in the Training competition or come close should strongly consider playing in Comp Lobby, the competition is more consistent there and the mod team is better equipped to handle issues there since competition is treated more seriously. You're all good enough to play there as well.
There is no current timetable for its return, but I will be disabling it after the round ends.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding, I am sorry it has come to this. I honestly liked the round and encouraging people to try new setups, but there have been a lot of problems associated with it so we need to give it a rest for now.

tbh if you're gonna bring this back, just get rid of the trophies. Instead, the 2nd and 3rd placed players get to pick the 2 setups for the next round and the 1st placed winner gets to do the same, as well as receive a freebie such as coloured text, a background or space for a new alt. Keep the trophies for the competitve lobby and do this for the Training lobby instead maybe, idk.
If all of the training players who competed in the last training competition moved to comp lobby, this wouldn't be a big deal. You guys alone could fill twice the amount of games that fill in the lobby now, but no one is willing to take that step.
Guy, it wouldn't be ALL of training mass-moving to comp. It'd be basically those getting involved in training comp rounds who want the competitive side of EM, ergo, not the trolls (who just wanna mess around in FP generally).
comp lobby still has the 1500 point requirement which decreases the amount of trolls, and gters present. That helps contain the reports rather than have two lobbies with double the amount of reports.

This is completely true. Training could take over and run Competitive Lobby basically.
You would prefer a Training Lobby Players INVASION into Comp Lobby instead of giving Training the comp back...
WOW
You realize that if "Training takes over and run Competitive Lobby", Competitive Lobby will no longer be that Competitive? Because not only players who are ready to join Comp would enter it, but also the trolls, gt'ers, cheaters, etc...
It's an easier fix and wouldn't make as many waves, whereas changing an entire lobby or restructuring the moderation team would take time to accept applications and mull through them, making sure the people applying don't have different agendas.

Good luck motivating everyone to do that. You'd have to make people feel important there. As of now, the mutual feeling is probably that they'd be chased out or not have any influence.
We could, and that's definitely something I'd be interested in doing, but it's 'rallying the troops' and getting others onboard. If 2/3 of us switched to comp, it'd make very little difference (and we'd likely return to Training).
If everyone who participated in the last round, for example, all decided to venture in comp as a collective, that could work.

Not the competitive atmosphere - issues get taken outside of games and things can start getting very personal. I love to compete, but you can get dragged into crap very easily there. You are constantly walking on eggshells not to irk someone with your "training lobby noob" ways (I have been called that in the past).
