When players who were banned for cheating are let back into either of the competition-running lobbies, they should undergo a probationary period during which they lose privacy rights for all accounts, be they linked alts or clean-slate mains. The mods can set up a thread with a list of all accounts held by recently unbanned cheaters and either (a) consistently monitor users who have made the list or (b) install a simple account approval process whereby failure to inform the mods of newly registered accounts constitutes a violation of the rules.
This might be worth a go for any game-related ban, not just cheating, but that would probably involve a lot more maintenance.

i'd give a big thumbs up to the prospect of public executions of epicmafia accounts.
They should, actually, because it's absurd that each time I join a game I have no idea whether a sketchy-looking alt on the roster is a cheater's. I should be able to join a game with at least some measure of confidence that I'm not playing with people who either are complete dirtbags or were complete dirtbags in the past.

i think the more we try to replicate a fair judicial system within epicmafia.com, the more unruly things will be.

tehy should be scarred for the rest of their internet life.
It's one thing to want a secret alt after being banned for community-related reasons - and therefore want to start fresh - or maybe for certain game-related violations, but if you're a bad enough apple to get banned for cheating then whatever's fair to you is unfair to the rest of the community. Either you can wait out the probationary period and then start from scratch or you can endure the stigma and then start from scratch.
there kind of is a probation since you can't trophy run right away but sure a more strict probationary period would be useful. imagine not having to wait for nevermaf to get 8 violations again
I'm just saying I don't think people need to wear Scarlet letter A's on their chest for the rest of the time they're on the site as a result of cheating.
I don't disagree that it's a good idea, it's just that I don't know if it's necessary.

there should be a popup box appearing every time you visit the profile of a cheater or join a game with them.
This is actually a pretty good idea, the only thing that concerns me is any harassment that may come as a result of people knowing all their accounts.
Like let's say I wanted to make a secret alt after getting unbanned, not having that privacy when trying to start fresh isn't exactly fair. So long as the mods have the info it isn't an issue because we can keep track of it.
Obviously if there are allegations against them for cheating, their alts will be made public.

this is akin to neighborhood watch systems setup against released child molestors, who have the lowest recidivism rate.
ironically though, this is javamafia. and cheaters usually cheat again.
