All the reports closed were closed without vios given, so it didn't seem like it was a case of inconsistencies. I closed them because they were from days ago and warnings were given. As the site moves to such strict rules I think warnings can be given first, and I noted that if they were to do it again to please report them right away and they'll be given vios.
"Cowering behind an alt" is one way to look at it, but the reality is that using an alt prevents the bias of the owner's name.
And you've abused your power on multiple occasions now, including this, closing a legitimate report simply because you thought a banned user posted it, and then closing an appeal about a report you handled.
actually, arcbell made it explicitly against the rules to out users you learned the alts of with monocle. i don't know if that matters now that he's not even a mod though
Moderators are not required to keep that information private. It wasn't super professional in hindsight but the thought of him cowering behind an alt was incredibly unnerving. If you want to know my opinion on his reports you can read his appeal on me which Carly sustained and bronto agreed with (with the addition of notes)
lol, as a moderator you have no real right to use your mod tools to out his main if he isn't doing anything objectively against the rules, and isn't a banned user
Who I am is and has been completely irrelevant to the entire point. Trying to find out who I am simply proves that certain people care less about the issues and more getting back.
The issue at hand is that some people get violations for next to nothing, and others are getting away with posting things a thousand times worse. One moderator is even participating in those bad postings. And if it weren't for me, they would continue to be overlooked, and there would be inconsistency and discrimination in handing out violations.
