"But I believe there is a fine line between active predators, and people who realize this is a sick mental disorder and seek help for it."
are u saying a person can be "cured" and can let go of their sexual desires? :doge:
i dont think this is a big issue for society, everyone knows pedos r freaks but i do like your idea trying to stop political correctness, wish it was at it's core though starting from modern leftism and feminsim
i woke up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night. i felt a chill of a ghost... i couldnt stop shaking. i saw something manifest in my room, swirling around my head.
it leaned into my ear and whispered 'remember on epicmafia where there was a pedophile forum?'
Oh I see, you're looking at the state Mexico, not the country. I think 16 is fine for consent, and I see the benefit of a slightly younger one (14-15 say, like a lot of European countries have) in that those laws protect teenagers who fool around with their boy/girlfriends from being prosecuted stupidly. If anyone says that doesn't happen, there was a girl in New Jersey who was registered as a sex offender at 16 for sharing nudes of herself.
Sex is a pain to legislate for, because ages aren't a permanent thing (an 18 year old turns 19, is it now creepy for him or her to be with their 17 year old partner?) and you need to be able to protect minors while also respecting that some people might start dating young and then hit a period where one is an adult and the other isn't and the law gets in the way.
Mexico differs by state, with some ending the restrictions at 16, and others at 18. I don't know where you got 15 from? the USA has several states where the age of consent is 16 or 17, so again, I don't know what "our" standards are that you're talking about. If it's 'western' standards, it's still wrong, because half of Europe has it set at 14.
I was going off your wiki link, if you scroll down you see a chart which shows 15 to be the minimum for Mexico.
So we both understand that the age of consent ranges from place to place and get shockingly low in some. The question becomes what people deem as "too young". Where should we cross the line exactly?
You say "those countries" but this is only applying to Mexico, and those restrictions that prevent adults from taking advantage of teens are off at the age of 15. A 15 year old is still a teen and considered underaged by our definition.
As for the Philippines and Japan, those ages are open to adults. My point still stands.

If y’all had given me a list of the users that would post in this thread and then have me guess which would be the pedophile sympathizers I would have easily been able to correctly guess Blister Carmen and BSM.
