Do all pedophiles deserve death?

LesbianPirateabout 8 years ago

Children are seen as the epitome of innocence which is why we get so upset at the thought of harm ever coming to them.

Pedophiles are seen as potential dangers to children, which is why they are seen as one of the most disgusting and hated people on the planet.

But I believe there is a fine line between active predators, and people who realize this is a sick mental disorder and seek help for it.

I think it's too late for offending pedophiles, but I believe we should treat pedophilia in general as a mental disorder.

Thoughts?

You're really swimming upstream trying to have an intellectually driven discussion about pedophilia in a public forum on the internet.

the age of consent in the philippines is 12, in japan it is 13, in mexico it is also 12; do we shame other countries for promoting pedophilia by our definition?
someone answer my question
its pretty nasty to want to have sex with 12 year olds, so IMO yeah shame 'em ALL
that's the interesting part though, if you were born in one of these countries you would have grown accustomed to these ages and found it to be a perfectly normal thing.

it makes me think of other things we find moral today that wouldn't be moral in other countries or time periods.
no sh*t lol

Take a history lesson if you want to find out what things we today might find crazy and disgusting but at the time was completely fine and completely "moral".
i was simply presenting my reflection and some food for thought, no need to be rude

Not only am I still technically right about Mexico, but I'm also still right about Philippines and Japan.

Maybe you yourself should reflect and lose the condescending attitude before posting, bud.
You're missing the point. Those countries aren't promoting paedophilia, or even relationships between adults and older teenagers. They're saying that teenagers as young as 12 will be sexually active, and that they're not going to punish teenagers for doing what teenagers do. They're also saying that if adults take advantage of that, they'll punish them severely.
You say "those countries" but this is only applying to Mexico, and those restrictions that prevent adults from taking advantage of teens are off at the age of 15. A 15 year old is still a teen and considered underaged by our definition.

As for the Philippines and Japan, those ages are open to adults. My point still stands.

yeah Idk about you but I think its pretty weird to assume that 12 year olds will be sexually active, but you do you lol! even if there is an higher age of consent the same thinking still applies, two 13 year olds wont be charged of pedophilia in Sweden even if the law of consent is 15.

yah im pretty sure virtually all countries have some sort of law protecting under 18s, just cos the age of consent is 12 dont mean every tim buck and harry can stick his d*ck in there with no legal repercussions . at least i hope so

but if you are attracted to children and know that you need help, then there should be help to get

sexuality doesn't exist in a vacuum. there's no "sexy" child. the only way you find a child sexually appealing is if you're drawn to the power dynamic and abusive reality that exists within sexualization of children. there's no "good" pedophile. all pedophiles get off to the idea of victimizing children, and thus are morally irredeemable.

anyway, i'm done engaging with the pedophile about whether pedophiles are bad lol
what about people that are attracted to objects like walls and sh*t? like this sort of argument could be used against various other sexualities
