Personally I'd prefer if it just said whether or not the target is third party, not completely revealing the role. That makes it kind of unfair toward some roles, like fool, which loses the second he's investigated. With third-party reveal, some people could claim to be other third-party roles and claim to join with town, or act foolish not to get lynched (in games with no guns), etc. Still +'d.
