I dunno man, seems like a lot of shit can go wrong. What if the guy you chose talks? Then you can't do shit. Seeing whispers is a terrible compromise to not being able to interact with the town in any possible way, especially if the person you chose was trolling ಠ_ಠ.

Made it so the role can't vote just like Tree or Cthuhlued. This way maf can cc as the person who knows sign language and mute can't lead a lynch on them. Everyone ok with that?

Well for one thing reading whispers can be very useful if maf are stupid. It adds a layer of strategy where do you want to protect the mute for what they may know since they are so obvious. Or just let maf go ahead and kill the little snoop. Then there is the fact only mute knows who they taught sign language to, the town has no idea. I am thinking that the mute shouldn't be able to vote either to prevent them from catching a maf trying to cc the role. There is also the fact the mute has to be very careful who they teach sign language to since it could be maf or someone who ends up dying. Or you could just play around with it in sandbox like people do with Cthuhlu. Does that help?
