I really like this role. Just a thought, making it non anymouse so the mafia has to cc in night meeting on what type of mafia. ^.^ Would be really fun in reverse mafia.

Wouldn't the Illuminati be a little to extreme? He's only controlling the Mafia. And I always thought of the Mastermind being some sort of James Bond villain. Sure Goldfinger or Dr. No wins when he takes over the world; but do his henchmen win with him? I think not.

I think Mastermind should count as Mafia, seeing as he's got the mafia's interests in mind. And being a criminal "mastermind" he would definitely know to kill a townie. And the mark of a good mastermind would be NOT to get caught in that situation.

If it's 3 maf, 3 town, 1 mastermind, is that instant game over or does 1 more day happen? That gives mafia the last chance to lynch/kill the mastermind if allowed. Maf goes for mastermind, town goes for mafia... would be interesting to see. I imagine 3 maf voting mastermind and 3 town voting maf, leaving mm to hammer. Lose or lose?

Yes. In fact he gets quite a say in it. If town wins, then he has failed to do his job and loses.

The idea is that he's affiliated with the mafia, but the mafia isn't affiliated with him. He knows that, but he also knows that keeping his "flock" safe is in his best interests.
